    Dont mean to hijack this but...I have an extension of this problem. I use a Mission SP1 expression pedal - which has a toe switch. I configured it to toggle between VOL and WAH. But now I want it to also toggle the PITCH block. Without changing scene or preset. 3 in 1...is it possible? :D...

    FM3 is very portable so I keep it at home and bring it with me to rehersal. If you can afford a duplicate setup...good for you. Personally I would just get something cheaper as a backup, a used helix stomp or the new boss ir2 maybe, since it primarily would be sitting on a shelf :-P

    I did some testing on a few dream theater tracks, and it removed far too much of the keyboard tracks with the guitar in all cases (to create backing track). Pretty busy sections so I can see why... But haven't found a way to tweak it so that it moves less of the keys. Anyone fiddled with that stuff?

    Keep the pedals if its for nostalgic reasons, or if you dont want to put all the eggs in one basket (FM3), or if they're an investment that might get increased resell value. Sound wise there is no reason to keep a bunch of physical gear i my opinion, so I would not hesitate to sell it all :-)...

    Same here. After upgrading I had to increase the volume also, so overall output seem lower to me. Now OUT1 is on max, and my scarlet interface volume at noon. On quieter patches I have to adjust even futher.

    I use Superior Drummer 3, but as mentioned it may be overkill. I believe EZ drummer has the same midi and groove editor functions With some midi libraries you can get a long way in making tracks and demoes in the groove editor.

    whatever sound you're looking for...it's a good chance its there, the tone and feel. Just browsing the presets is impossible. You will get hooked on something and you realise you just spent more time playing than tweaking. So knowing the limitations compared to AF3, I'd say you cant go wrong.

    with scenes toggle, you can get access to 6 scenes pretty easily in 1 layout. That's not bad considering all the on/off options you can do in just one scene. That is my best tip. Or you can map 3 blocks to turn on/off for a more spontane approach. HOLD to flip to a new layout with more blocks...

    I've never had the freezing problem - but then again I haven't had the time to use it much. It's on 2-3 hours a week, always connected to FM3 edit. The fan turned on one time, and didn't turn off below the said temp threshold..but a reboot fixed it and I haven't heard it since.

    Reaper FTW! lightweight, fast and extremely adaptable. However the FM3 isn't very DAW dependable. Any major DAW that can record sound should work.(If you already have an interface that is... I haven't tried the USB feature of the FM3 yet)

    I believe the amp-modeling is a few versions behind at the moment. That's not to say its gonna stay like that forever. as for the amp models, I think the AF3 has a few more at this point, but heck... we have plenty to choose from.
