Anyone have an SG with a Maestro Vibrola like this ?

Sorry- missed this. No. I keep the arm pointed toward the jack and don’t use it. I enjoy the relief on the string tension with string bends during solo work , and I dig the look of it as well. Dive bomb tremolo type playing , I reserve for my LP with a Floyd.

Anyone have an SG with a Maestro Vibrola like this ?

Haven’t been around here in a while. Just came from the studio. I was playing this very guitar. It is ( for lack of better words ) kick azz. It’s a reissue. Thick beefy tone for days. I have a few nice LPs and this SG might be my pic in the stable. Odd thing is , I could never bond with an SG...

    Do you prefer high action?

Everyone has their own way of looking at things. I prefer a medium to low fret wire height. If it’s too low , my fingers drag on the fretboard. If they’re too high , my fingers drag across them. With that said , I like a moderately low fret height , and a fair amount of distance between the...

    Burstbuckers 1, 2, 3, or Pro

Yes I do have a set. I even have a spare set on hand ( just in case ) I hate to say too much about what anyone “should” use or not use. I’ve learned that pickups are essentially a type of microphone , that can’t change the core sound of a guitar. Brighter , darker , cleaner , won’t ever clean...

    Burstbuckers 1, 2, 3, or Pro

That’s interesting. The alnico III is my favorite, balanced pickup for my LP. I have a Kiesel JB24 numbers guitar that would make you smile. 2 Humbuckers. One bridge , one neck , and a single coil in the middle. I can add the amount of “spank” I want , via the 5- way switch. Really digging...

Do you know who Jason Becker is?

I just came out of my studio ; after 3 hours of playing with some band mates , and all I heard was - how great my JB24 guitar sounded. Help !! Dust in the studio ...
