I have Steve Stevens Rebel Yells in both of my PRS's. Covered in the SC245, uncovered in a custom 22, they are in both guitars outstanding I love the similarity's and the differences in both. Awesome pick-ups!!

Barefoot buttons on a budget

And these are nasty plastic, and barefoot are milled aluminium, not sure I see and comparison apart from they both stop your foot hurting when playing in socks. You get what you pay for and I will stick with the real deal. There is always something cheaper, I mean we could all be using Pods...

Gigging Cover FRFR Guys???

I play in a covers band, many of the same songs you have, same advice as many have put here. One trick I learned early is setup a preset, dial in your amp, clean, crunch lead etc. Then recycle it, just change the cab, it can make a huge difference and allows you to cover a wide range of sounds...

Spent 3 hours at the studio last night after upgrading, going through all my presets at gig volume. Love every bit of it, I go direct to PA, made some tiny adjustments but nothing major. For me each firmware upgrade just seems to feel and sound better.

USB Midi Big Problem!

Did you run the Windows 10 installer with USB cables plugged in? That can cause issues for sure.

Fuzz tone question...

Day job got in the way, so here's the patch I mentioned above, Scene 4 is the Fuzz/Fizz without using a cab. Try it, tweak it could be fun. Created with a PRS CU22 fitted with Bareknuckle Rebel Yell pickups. Still work in progress, and the scenes need some more levelling, but i have used it...

Build a preset WITHOUT the cab block (try it you will get some real sizzle) an amp and fuzz of choice, use an EQ block to boost where required works for my Muse patch

I only have one amp (if you can call it that) left, a Blackstar Fly 3, if I take a guitar on Holiday with me, this is what I pack. Battery powered and does the job!! Might get an iRig and get rid of this one as well!!

Thanks Moke, tried lowering and makes no difference, the patch I am using is at 89% I guess the USB connection adds some, as does the USB audio, will try another patch but would like a solution where CPU isn't a factor.

Hi guys, please help a brother out. Did a search found some stuff plugged in via USB, set my playback devices as AXE FX, plugged in headphones to AXE all good. I can hear the PC audio. Play the guitar on its own, i can hear that no problem. Put the two together backing track sounds OK guitar...

If this is a dumb question, feel free to shoot me down :p When using the batch tool to set modelling to latest on all pre-sets, I am assuming if the tool supports Quantum 5.xx that will be all iterations of 5, so 5.00 5.01, 5.02 etc...

HaHa yeah OK, I get that, I am bored of all the crap that comes with what used to be good free AV (AVG. Avast etc..) so i stick with it for now. Like i said just a heads up if anybody else has the same issues, there are as always workarounds. Thanks again for this, saves me a ton of time each...

They were the first choice in my head after reading up. But when I spoke with BK and explained what I do, stuff I play, (rock covers band 60's to present day) they said without doubt Rebel Yells. They even said if you don't like 'em send 'em back and you can exchange. Cannot say fairer than...

Forget Norton and Mcaffee, Windows defender is all you need. If you do decide to take this route use the Norton removal tool to get rid of all the crap, it really does infest your system with all sorts of garbage.

I would, I have had bas experiences with ethercon type cables in other applications, faslink cable is the way to go, after all its just an XLR cable at the end of the day. Much more robust and less to go wrong.

Bug? After Win 10 Update AXE Edit no longer works

Something not right here, I have a desktop and a laptop both running Win 10 64Bit both with axe edit installed, and the Fractal USB driver, both have been updated to the version you linked too with no issues at all. They both work fine.

Just changed both my PRS's to NYXL from Elixrs, gigging tomorrow so we will see how they stand up, I tend to get through strings pretty quick, so far the tuning stability seems better after a bit of stretching

Ibanez Prestige RG2550Z - any thoughts?

Suggest you try before you buy, I have an RG2550Z I am moving on for exactly this reason, PRS for me now all the way, I find them easier to play. The slight extra scale length does make them stiff in my opinion. Apart from that great guitar, stays in tune without issue and is comfortable to play.
