Why would anyone sell their Axe-Fx 3 if it's so great?

I see a bunch for sale now since the fm3 was announced and wonder. I mean the fm3 isnt even close to the racks featureset and adding the fc6 to the rack really makes it a beast. A rack isnt any more cumbersome to gig with (locally) then an amp head. Straight to FOH and you are done. Maybe some...

Any plans for a small stomp AX4?

of all the major players fractal brings me closest to a purchase soon in 2019/2020. Not a rack unit but a floor unit with much better gui then the ax8- a headphone jack and usb audio. After demo of the 3 in person i was floored but do not want a rack unit.

Seems helix is still fizzy.. is the ax8 more realistic?

my point was that if i am blown away by v10 then i can only guess quantum-the next evolution of axefx- should likely even be more realistic and amazing. Of course it could be or sound worse to a certain percentage of players but from what i understand cliff and the others working on the axefxe...

well to my ears these freeman presets with the fractal are not fizzy ...they sound amazing and if i can duplicate these tones with the ax8 i am all in. I listen to demos of the axefx2 and helix and to my ears the axefx2 comes away more polished and "realistic"-more 3 dimensional whereas the...

thank you for the reply. I do not know if those tweaks are avail on the helix preamps and poweramps. I know they have a hum setting so you can make the amp hum more like a "real" amp.

Curious to hear from the FAS virgins

i am new to fractal....had the helix and returned it..was not to happy about spending 1199.99 on it and never looked at FAS stuff because of pricepoint- untill now. I signed up 10/13-14 so i look forward to having the axefx2xl+ brain in a more affordable unit for my use.

Just ported some presets from my AxeII and...

i am sure it will be somewhat like the helix when it 1st came out...pre order people who got them had the units without latest updates..like any software thing.....i tried the helix and didnt like it but my version was 1.02 at that time..i returned it but since then line 6 released a couple...

well i think its strange is all.....i mean i can see if you never owned a fractal you would or could be blown away but if you already have been using the rack and controller why would it be any better then what you already were using...i mean soundwise for sure its a wash..maybe new or diff...

My AX8 came in. Just magical!

Dont get why you guys with axe fx raCKS act so blown away..its the same amps and cabs and less effects but still many of the same ones..just in a different form factor..lol....like coke in a new can...and everyone who loves coke thinks it tastes better in the new can..lol

One thing fractal and even line 6 dont realize is that very likely some people who are interested and were even on this waitlist are professional "known" musicians who would rather not flaunt that upfront to get free gear or favors from a company. I know a few here. They are alot bigger/well...

i can see people selling their axefx2 racks to get the ax8 and still have money left if they dont really utilize all the things the rack model offers....i would be all over that aspect....You get the brain and floor features in one for alot less money.....many will get the ax8 and still keep...

I think if you have the axefx2xl+ and controller you wouldnt really need the ax8....i mean i can see if you gig a ton it may be convienent but for the hobby guy it seems overkill to have both...Not that cliff would mind

Current NON-Fractal Audio users making the switch ?

i am onboard.The pricepoint drew me in to try fractal. I tried the helix and didnt like the amp/cabs in it.Many can get super tones but i didnt want to tweak alot..the ability to go deeper is excellent but i didnt want to HAVE to to get good tone.

i dont get the fuss....some units were given to artists and friends to evaluate and maybe make presets for...and work some bugs out...Cliff likely shouldnt have implied that units are shipping to waitlisters....its all part of the hype/buzz needed to sell a product...marketing 101....people are...

my point exactly....if you dont have any FAS products this ax8 makes sense to get your feet wet. If you already have an axefx2 xl+ its not going to be as versatile or powerful.. of course FAS will sell as many units as you want..lol..to whoever wants them...You could get 1 for home...one to gig...

will the ax8 have capability to send a diff amp tone to a different amp setup outside the ax8? I know it will not channel switch an amp for you from the ax8 like the H but can you send one out to one amp and another out to a diff amp or FOH and have diff effects or whatever on each send...

i had the helix..and sent it back...the whole display and lights and form factor was cool and very nice but what if a scribble strip burns out...or if a few do..its a weak point as is the screen..in terms of things that could go wrong.I do like the look and the colors but the amp/cab tones for...

I agree...i returned mine for same reasons.What was odd to me before release is that line 6 didnt really showcase the amps/cabs in the unit...But they loved the phaser and univbe effects..I was suspect because of this pr campaign... once bitten twice shy!

if i was fractal....knowing how the helix seems to have issues with crashing and fizz to some people and no editor out yet...i would really want to release a stable unit with editor already created and ready to release at same time. Work out the unit in many aspects and then double check quality...

Ready for the Amp Show

i use a korg kronos and m1 synths and love the korg user interface..also like the variety of sounds.Had 2 motifs a while ago and just couldnt mesh with the ui..sounds were good too and roland is the same with the ui...not my type but also sounded ok to me. Ui makes a different to me as a visual...
