Xitone 12” active wedge or Atomic CLR for FRFR wedge

In fairness, you are the one that's been spamming the Amps/Cabs forum topic requesting folks giving you their opinions. Please don't be sore at receiving them. I am genuinely happy for you that you are happy with your purchase, truly. Flat response as measured by calibrated testing still matters...

Xitone 12” active wedge or Atomic CLR for FRFR wedge

CLR's are quality studio monitor flat down to 70hz as shown below. The XiTone's are not, even by their own description "has been designed from the very beginning to sound and feel more like a guitar cab than a traditional PA wedge". To be very clear: this does not make one better than the...

AX8 stereo feed into Gemini 2

In case anyone searches and finds this topic for info, here is the XLR option from Mission directly: https://missionengineering.com/shop-2/products/cables/gemini-2-stereo-signal-cable/ . I agree though, it's seems rediculous that they didn't just put two XLR combo input jacks.

Atomic CLR Neo MK2 vs Friedman ASM-10?

No need to overthink it. Buy a high quality PA such as QSC mentioned. Any venue worth it's salt will have a relatively good quality system that can be a minor EQ tweak at the board. I am in no way suggesting one buys "20 brands of speaker", that's obviously ridiculous.
  7. Savage1969

Atomic CLR Neo MK2 vs Friedman ASM-10?

Regardless of FRFR choice, one thing should likely be of upmost importance....the one that does not taint the tone much from what you are exposing your audience to running FOH. If an individual tweaks their presets on too much a colored monitor (for example at home studio) and then later runs...

FYI, "Singtall JS410 Lead" and "JS410 Lead" are 100% parameter identical so no need for both. Just bought a Fryette Power Station

Interesting topic. I've been intrigued for some time regarding the PS as a load/attenuator versus other available alternatives, but not quite understanding it being used solely as an amp into a cab (in regards to using with the AFX). Isn't this effectively making the AFX nothing more than a...

    XL+ Odd Lockups on USB?

No problem. Just think of it like this: If it's a simplistic PC accessory, throw it on the hub. If it's a major hardware component, plug it straight in. You'll be fine with this basic rule I'm sure. Rock on.

    XL+ Odd Lockups on USB?

Nah, I've never had a hub zap anything of mine. I used them for years for the following: wireless keyboards, mice, iLok, thumb drives, external hdd's, game controllers, midi controllers, and cell phones. All rack hardware I plug straight in. Even with laptops this works without flaw for me.

Use hubs for your keyboard/mouse/iLok, etc. Any fairly-priced powered hub will do (search the online store that "shall not be named" who's company title references the world's largest rain forest). For what it's worth, I use a 12 foot USB cable into 3.0 PC. Never an issue. The most likely issue you have is the hub. Many audio interface devices, and I believe including the Fractal unit, don't take kindly to hubs and is not a recommended practice. Try extensively sans hub and more than...

    Fremen - 44 drive blocks + firmware 19 presets

Good afternoon. For those with XL, you can find a PDF I created to help quickly find the cab offset when importing presets from a II. Original post is on Fremen's last pack topic can be found here. Thanks for all your hard work and sharing T, it's sincerely appreciated as always.

    Reaching out for help.

I gotta crash for work tomorrow but let me try to help being more specific: You backed up with Bot, so you have each bank as a separate syx file. Open Bot, in the Send Tab select your appropriate Axe device, press "Browse" and select the Bank syx you want to recover (in Windows the default is...

Vertical vs Horizontal 2x12 with Axe FX? pro's/con's?

Good evening Georgy. You have quite a few variables going on there but here's my two cents (if I understand your question correctly). The monitor on you bed is absorbing low reflections in addition to your proximity to the monitor. When you place it either horizontal or vertical on a solid...

    Going Direct to FOH

I'm with Rex on this one. Many packs have mics built in so I personally leave the parameter at None to get the truest form of the IR. It's all personal preference though, as stated. You might get more mileage leaving it at None and mixing individual IR's via CabLab (as another option). Many...

Has anyone been shocked when going direct to FOH?

Ha, I just caught that Nady bit. Back in the day if you wanted wireless they were about the only choice out there. It's crazy to look back where we've been and now have the tech of today. My first amp was a Pignose and my first pedal was an original Rat. Crap, I'm getting old.

Has anyone been shocked when going direct to FOH?

Interesting topic. Considering (I assume) you're line level all the way you've eliminated most of the multi high-power amps in the "chain", no? I've only been zapped when using high-power amp/mic setups to the board, never running everything straight to PA. This mostly happened in crappy...

HIGH vs. LOW res amp sim?

At the end of the day I understand it to be a difference in resolution only. As stated in a previous post, the single amp block runs at double the internal sampling frequency (16x oversampling vs 8x). "Main benefit of this is less aliasing in high gain models." More info can also be found here...

    Reaching out for help.

Did you backup with Bot or save each preset separately? If you can't restore via Bot, then try: open AxeEdit, select Presets, then drag and drop the appropriate bank.syx to the correct preset bank OR the individual song.syx (if that's how you "backed up" your presets instead of using Bot) and...

Good morning. I just searched my files and I have the original 3.1.10 file. If you still haven't found a copy then feel free to PM me and I'll hook you up.

    Leveling presets advice

Having the loudness meter available within a portion of AxeEdit's display (like a mini Orban) or available from the Tools menu would be quite useful at times. Not a deal-breaker by any stretch, but it sure wouldn't hurt.
