    Same here. The TimeFactor pedal - especially the vintage delay algorithm - will stay in my signal chain forever. it just has a certain sound that I haven't ever heard with any other device. I LOVE my AFIII - but the TimeFactor is pretty much always in one of the loops.

    AITR is just another tool. If you want the direct and immediate sound of a close mic’d amp don’t use it. If you want to simulate a space add them in. Personally I love them for rock or blues sounds - for metal or anything shreddy they make the amp too far away in my audio field. Ymmv etc etc...

    I really really like the sound of these longer IRs. When I first set them up I really didn't hear it . . . but when I bypass them the sound immediately jumps into the foreground and the realism decreases a bit. I can't wait for more rooms!     I'm not sure about that. "Nice analog color" means that there is a change to the sound right? Any reasonable change to the sound is just a manipulation of EQ, compression, phase, or time alignment. There is no such thing as mojo or some unmeasurable yet audible effect. If we can measure it...
