    I always got spot on SD tones using the low input of my 2204 and a Big Muff or Red Llama pedal. I've never tried with my AXE3 though I'm sure it's achievable. I'm not sure if the low input of a JCM 800 is modeled in the Axe but that's the best pedal platform I've used with a real amp.

    Is CLR my best option

    I use a QSC K10.2 and a Yamaha DXR 10. The QSC is flatter and sounds better at lower volumes than the DXR IMHO. The QSC is a lot more flexible with its presets and EQ also. Both sound great at stage volume. Can’t comment on the CLR, never heard one in person. Tried the 10”&12” Friedmans and...

    Thanks for the filter slope tip, I’ll give it a try. Off the top of my head the Ruby Rocket, Blankenship, Bogner ecstasy gig rig blue modern 6l6 and a couple others scenes on ecstasy’s. A lot of the presets still sound great, I just noticed some sound flubby to me after 3.01.

    I had both ASM12 and the ASC 10. The 10 was slightly better than the 12 I thought, but still colored the sound to much for my tastes. I was hoping it would have been a lot better sounding then the 12.

    Yes, didn't like it and sent it back. I'm using a QSC K10.2 and much happier with my sound. I thought the Friedman colored the sound to much. It kinda made all my Marshall presets sound the same. Just my opinion YMMV. Seems a lot of people like them and a lot don't.

    I'm in the 2.02 camp. Sounds "more realer" to me for the Marshally amps. My presets sound great, very authentic and alive again. I also love 2.0. I like to use the tone and volume knobs on my les Paul to get the desired sounds so maybe that's a factor, I don't know.

    Having some issues / concerns after upgrading to Quantum

    When I upgraded firmware a lot of the presets were muffled and dark, especially the Marshalls. Kinda like a blanket over the speaker effect. I had to rework a lot of them using different cabs, backing of the gain, and cutting a lot of bass. Now they sound fantastic, but I had to tweak.

    To my ears 19.b2 sounds darker and not as clear as 18.12. My cleans don't sound as sweet or clear. Some of the Marshalls sound better but not as clear to me. Anyways, I think this is the right thread to report our findings for this beta version.
