feedback issue

I would have thought that the created patches would suffer from this more so than the factory presets. but it was the factory presets that were the culprit.... was hoping that there would be much less tweaking with the factory stuff....

feedback issue

downloaded the updated presets for version 8.02 and took my ax-8 out to a bandmates house and ran it direct to the PA. I got a lot of feedback with the patches. when i went to the user patches and the patches I created, I didnt get barely any feedback. What am I doing wrong? same settings as...

where can i find the original presets.

I upgraded the firmware, then the presets, and then axe edit.... won't the original presets sound the same even with the new firmware? I was most disappointed with the Ratt round lead preset... and mark day's 80's preset.... those were my go to when firing up my ax8 now they lack balls...

looking for all in one FRFR Solution.

is there anyone out there who could help me? i can measure all the internal spaces... i can dis assemble to take pictures.... i am just a bit frustrated as i continue to search for a solution... its either a PA speaker which will not cover the lows of a drop tuned bass without frequency...

that was the best option at the time and i enjoy wood working so i built them.... they have 1 12 inch eminence legend modeling 12 inch speaker with 150 w handing. ... supposedly fairly flat. however it is a guitar speaker so i know that this is not totally ideal..

smittefar thank you so much for your response! sounds like I might be onto something here! i only stated the eris 8's because they seem to have a great freq response and you can buy 1 get one half off right now.... that means a pair of 8's for under the cost of one yamaha! i can afford a sub...

i really just don't want to chase my tail. that is what started my FRFR search years ago.... i made a kick ass metal tone while on my monitors, and i wanted to PLAY IT LOUD! so i ran the gx700 into my amp and it sounded like total crap.... that was what started me looking into this years...

it just seems that every time i start to look at a powered speaker (PA Type) 1. they lop off the low end.... (requiring a sub since i play bass....) 2. it doesn't make sense for me to have a PA system in my office.... just for tweaks.... 3. everyone starts talking about how this PA speaker...

since the ax8 is to be your preamp, power amp sim, and cab sim all in one, is it best to use studio monitors to achieve your overall tone, while it is truly as flat as it can be then when going direct adjust your sound (or sound guy can do it) using your channel EQ? if this theory seems sound...

all in one powered cab? suggestions please

I have been looking at specs on different Powered cabs and also near field monitors and it appears that the near fields have a slight edge on the lower frequencies to 37KHZ? would i benefit to go this route? however that doesn't get me a monitor at my back but i could always buy some good...

i am getting ax8 soon. Fingers crossed!!! Would one of those alto ts212 's work for both a guitar and bass frfr type monitor? I would most likely use it as my own monitor then send a signal to FOH.

Is it just me ... or is anyone else starting to think we -wont- see the AX8 until Q1 2016 ?

i am not inspired to play my current set up..... Totally can't wait for the AX8..... Watching all the quantum vids on Youtube don't help either.... I bought a used RP500 to get me by, and it is acting up and just sounds plain bad.... FRACTAL TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!

When I built the two cabs, I had already tried multiple options.... Straight to the PA Power amp into passive PA speakers Into the front end of an amp Into the power section of an amp SS power amp into PA speakers Crate powerblock Etc etc.... I may have been a little ahead of the curve...
