New AxeFX Patch, new tune...

Hope you guys like this one. Its pretty up beat and uses the free STLTones pack SKYDreams. The rhythm patch is a combination of a Mesa IIC++ model and a Vox AC15 model. Pretty cool combo. I used my LTD EC401VF and Schecter Raiden IV bass.

I record multiple tracks panned L/R at different points in the audio spectrum. Sometimes you have to adjust the track (from mono to stero) or the patch but in the end it puts you on a wild ride.

I have the same issue - admittedly its gotten better as the strings settle but I notice myself retuning quite a bit. The guitar loves to go sharp. The Gotoh tuners are good but I may swap it with some locking tuners down the line. Its not too terrible though, just a bit annoying.

I use a focusrite 2i2 - tried going direct but noticed the sound would come out a bit more compressed or digital sounding. Been using the Focusrite for the last 2 years almost.

Ever had one of those songs that just writes itself? Well, this was one of those, I didn't want to alter it anymore because it just poured out. I got this LTD EC401VF in a trade earlier this week and I absolutely love it. You get some great rock tones out of it. Nice fat piece of mahogony...

I turned this tune inside out a bit and left the verse - chorus - verse format out to dry. Its busy and moves, kinda makes you mad towards the end.... ;) Enjoy!

I didn't think this one needed a solo as there was plenty going on.... The inspiration for this tune was really morbid to be honest. My wife told me a story about a man who was being treated at the hospital and basically went necrotic. His surgeries started at his feet and moved up his body...

Sounds really crisp that is for sure. Great playing by the way! How are you liking the precision drive with the Fractal? I tried Misha's old ProTone Attack overdrive and end up going with the Fractal's built in Tube Screamer.
