Lamb of God Laid To rest Cover

The cabinets don't work for me? It silences the output when I select them.

I, too, am interested in whether they are still around

Lamb of God Laid To rest Cover

Hey, which cabinet did you use? I see there's the tweed 4x10, but the second one is a custom cab.

The chain will look something like this: Each chain doesn't need to be panned left or right until the very last block.

    HSS Pickup Suggestions Sought

Since you're on the Fractal board, I can only assume you've got an AxeFX and thus have a way to reamp a dry guitar signal.

Anyone Else Toss Gear in Garbage?

An amp that is chock full of all sorts of resisters and capacitors I could use later on?? Hell no!

    HSS Pickup Suggestions Sought

I have a Godin Exit 22 (maple fingerboard, mahogany body), and it's a very straty guitar, even with the mahogany. I've got 2 Fender TexMex singles, and a BKP Aftermath. 4th position splits the bridge-most coil with the middle (maybe neck.. i don't remember). Combination sounds amazing & I...

    Reamping with the Ultra

Does anyone do this? I've found the simplest way to do this is record Output 2 direct to board, while simply routing from the Input to FX Loop. Like this: Then, to play back, simply plug a guitar cable from the out on the board to the guitar in on the Axe FX. PS This clean tone has a gated...

Is it possible to turn the pre-amp sim off?

How about a way to tap in-between the pre and power amp sim?

Is it possible to turn the pre-amp sim off?

So that I only have power amp and cab sims. I've been toying with running from the preamp of a real guitar amp into the axe fx, and then only using the power amp and cab sims.

Forget my last AJFA tone, this is it right here.

Realistic flub included. These are Google Drive download links. Do not be afraid. Tones were recorded on a Gibson LPJ with a Hetset.

    A nice clean tone

I was about to post in the preset forum, but realized that I've changed the tone enough that I don't have this preset anymore. It's kind of a shame, because it's such a lovely tone. I do realize that the compression is a little much. It's why the tone is different now (I'll record a new one...

How does Das Metall compare between the II & Ultra?

I've had an Ultra for quite a while now. I've been considering on an Axe FX II for a stretch, but my tone is built on this emulation of the VH4 in the Ultra. I'm quite happy with what I have right now, and am wondering whether the algorithm changes are worth the cost to jump to the Axe II? I...

    And Justice For All

If you add a compressor at the front of the chain, and a little reverb, it makes it sound a lot more polished.

    Advice appreciated!!

Rockits are ok monitors. They're missing that certain je ne sais quoi. I have a set of Adam F7's, and they are pretty awesome. If you can reach that high, I'd go with Adam A7x's.

    Advice appreciated!!

By consumer speakers, do you mean simple computer desk speakers that you buy at a garage sale for $5, or a home stereo? I ask because you may need a more powerful set up. Even while recording direct, the Axe FX will acoustically react with your guitar, and sound different when using pitiful...

AX8 vs FX8 now which one to buy???

You could convince your chip manufacturers to release die-shrunk chips (ie: 45nm to 35nm), so they'll use less power, and possibly be able to be passively cooled?

What are some of your favorite patches that you've come across?

I would have to say the one's I have worked on myself. The dirty is pretty basic, but that's how I like it. The clean is a bit more complex, but it sounds lovely - it'll work with or without the cab. I should mention I use Adam F7 monitors, for a FRFR setup. Nathan is paired with the Devin...

A Trivium from Chapman Studios Tone I've been working on

So here's a tone I've been working on, based off Matts tone when they played the Chapman Studios set (they used Ultra's then, didn't they?). It's an FRFR tone, and I plugged straight into Adam F7 studio monitors. I used an Edwards Les Paul, and LTD EC-1000CTM, both with EMG 57/66's - I don't...

Hold on, maybe the OP's only experience with a SM57 is in the Axe FX..

    Metallica Black Album Tone Test

A bit of a late reply, but a great deal of James' tone is with how he picks. You've really gotta give it to the strings, so that the attack lingers through the palm mute. You've got a pretty awesome tone going there, though!
