    The neck pickups are more alike than the bridge ones. But yeah, the pickups are voiced for high gain mesa boogie amps, maybe that's why it doesn't sound glorious on amps that have drastically different eqing and stuff.

    Why do people criticize guitar covers or band covers?

    I've been in several cover bands and even a tribute band, playing more or less songs like the original. Why ? To get easy gigs, audience and see them enjoy it and sing ! I think they will forgive a lead variation, but main structure and singing must be there.

    That's an interesting question since it has been said for 4 cable method you could push volume to 100% and be unity gain, but it depends of what is before the first output, I guess a pushed amp will be hotter than a real one's effect loop ?

    Well, I usually do a right click - block - reset, I think, when I don't wanna change it's type. But in this case it didn't cure the noise/hiss I got with the recto. When I say I redid, I emptied a preset slot in "manage preset" and redid it all with another amp.
