    True Story

I was totally guilty of the scooped 'tone' approach. As stated previously: it's the product of sitting in a room for hundreds of hours - practicing. When you reach a level of ability to play gigs with a band, you believe that this 'tone' that you have been cultivating and have acclimated to -...

Any anti modelers have religious conversion?

In keeping with the religious/non-religious thread title, what I'm about to say may seem sacrilegious to some .... but I'd put the Port City Pearl up against any clean amp I've owned in the last 40 years. For reference that list includes '71 Fender Twin, 20th Anni Shiva and a Two Rock Studio Pro...

Any anti modelers have religious conversion?

Short answer: I like both. I use my FM3 for effects and IR's with my Port City Pearl and Suhr Reactive Load I run the FM3 through the Pearl's effects loop for a bit of reverb and delay - with a Port City OS 2x12 cab I use the FM3's effects, amp sims, IR's for jamming to YouTube backing tracks...

    Board for AX8?

I'm using a Pedaltrain Novo 32. It's a little shallower than the Pro (front to back) - by 1.5" - and leaves room for a couple of expression pedals and some other doo-dads. Sold my Axe III .... bought an AX8

+1 on this comment. I'd love more CPU. More routing options. And being able to run two amps simultaneously. But that is seriously splitting hairs - because if a new floor unit never came out, I'd be fine with the AX8 as it is. What a great unit.

Sold my Axe III .... bought an AX8

Man, you just can’t go wrong either way. If you love lots of layered effects and nearly limitless routing options – AIII might be your better choice – because the CPU on the AX8 does have its limitations. Plus - the firmware updates are just flying out – rapid fire – on AIII. It seems like...

I had a PowerStage 170 not too long ago. When I had my AIII, I had a pretty elaborate set up.
