i agree with Goatlord 9 seems to just jump out of the mix, but really they all sound good and depends on tasted, imho I would go with 9 for the mids and the 1st for the nice scooped sound and blend them and maybe no. 5 as well which seems to have a nice clean separation from the bass guitar, but...

How does Bulbs and Nollys Rhythm tones work on FW17.04?

I re-visited their patches with FW 17.04 and I agree with your characteristics of the patches....I actually like them more than previously. I also think their Zilla 2x12 Fatboy cabs contribute so much to their tone that it ain't even funny. I've tried getting similar tones from Clark Kent's...

Final Mix redid everything added solos and harmonies/ambience etc...learned to sidechain the kick/bass compression which really helped in giving room in those frequencies and the added bonus of the guitars sitting on top of the mix better. Hope you like.

Need help with this track. FW4 (LOL!)

I like the overall song but, for me I would've liked the build-up to be faster. IMHO cut the build-up in half and bring the bass, kick snare up by +2 db and cut the dirty rhythm by -1 db. Totally agree with Patzag, needs a hook :)

I like the overall tone and agree with Vitor about the raw organic tone. Your tone is hitting a sweet spot, not scooped and not overly middy with the saturation and in the pocket without loss of tone. IMHO just needs to be EQ tweaked to allow the low end to come through a little more in the...

Please help:Not enjoying my Axe through a poweramp and into a cab

I added an fx loop in axe edit and run output 2 to my power amp....I don't understand the algorithms behind it but the sound seems to be more true. I am running to an ENGL 840/50 stereo power amp into an ENGL 2x12 with V30s and a 5150 2x12 combo. THis setup sounds different than just turning...

Misha Mansoor's (Periphery) video "Guitar Recording Tips" helped me out a lot when I started recording at home (last month lol), most of it is common sense but there are a few nuances he points out that might help. i.e. guitar tone within a mix vice a jamming tone.

Great Tone! Really good mix, nothing is ever perfect, but still I loved the mix! I use a similar cab setup for most of my stuff, seems to have a more rounded fuller sound and easier to keep the guitar contained instead of running away from you when trying to track.

Thanks, appreciate it :) I used EZ Drummer 2 with the Metal Machine EZX, threw in a little EZ Mix 2 and Eventide's UltraChannel Compressor to help it pop. EZD2 is the awesome, makes writing a lot easier.
