thanks to both of you... I am guessing that I won't have to worry about which sample rate and length I should use

    Importing wav IR's into AFX2?

Given .wav IR’s with sample rates: 44.1/48.0/88.2/96.0 kHz and lengths: 200/500 ms, what would one use to import into the AxeFxII, via AxeEdit/Axe-Manage Cabs? And what should one expect as the result within the AxeEdit cab selection window?

    WAH Controller / Block

okay... thank you... duly noted. (although that seems to work against logic... I would think the Bypass of a block would be "not allowed" as a visual when the modifier is associated with it)
  9. G

    WAH Controller / Block

So the Modifier over-rides bypass of a preset block?
  10. G

    WAH Controller / Block

yes ... I checked the next few (they all show Medium Speed for the Auto engage) and although showing a bypassed Wah block, the pedal still sounds the Wah for all of them... this is obviously Global, but why would a bypassed block in a preset still be audible?
  11. G

    WAH Controller / Block

  12. G

    WAH Controller / Block

I never use the WAH block and my Mission Pedal is always for the VOL block. Going through the first 20 or so of the new presets tonight, one of the presets used a WAH block (Clyde) and set the Controller for WAH... which works fine. However, going to another preset, the WAH for Controller...

    Disappointed :(

Unless you are trying to learn the AF2... this way, he has a standard to work towards ... rather than what's in his head. I was in the same boat as the OP and that solved it for me. OP has been at this for at least 3 months!
  23. G

    Disappointed :(

+1 I just want to add to your point 5. Pick a tune from an artist you like - google to find out what equipment they used on the recording. Now start to build a new preset starting with the amp and cab and tweak until your close... then slowly add any Fx used. Also, OP's last post several...

Video Axe FX vs BIAS FX tone test

IMHO, if you can't get the tone you're after with the AxeFx, perhaps spend more time learning the parameters rather than throwing cash out on another plugin... I can't imagine that the AxeFx won't get you what you're after. I have yet to return to any of my many plugin sims since getting my XL.

Is it the right time to buy?

Just like buying an Intel I7 or waiting for the I9... sooner or later you need to commit... you aren't going to get Fractal promising that a III will be release in... As for the AxeFx and Quantum, you have to ask... how much better can it get if I wait?
