Axe FX II and Kemper Profiler (Yes, another one...please read!)

Hey Gary. I just updated my MFC edit to version 3. IT updated, but will not run now. IT just tells me it can not find the old dump files, and when I click ok nothing else happens. I have tried running as admin, re installing etc...

Utility, update amps defaults does nothing. except shows the edited led and flashes numbers next to it (under the <enter>graphic) if I press it again the numbers flash under the <enter> graphic for the Strip all global data shows 2.0, update amps all presets shows 65.0HZ and erase all presets...

Favorite neck profile & why?

Different strokes for different folks ! It is what feels best in your hands. I hate my 50's les paul baseball bat neck. Love my 60's Les paul neck, strat modern C and my Musicman JP. The latter 3 are all different but feel great to me.

MFC for the Non-gigging Musician?

I use it everywhere, studio, buddies place but mostly home, I do not gig on a regular basis. A friend of mine uses it just for bedroom. I think no matter what it is worth it. It is SOOOO flexible, pretty much plug and play. I have a few controllers but for the Axe-FX there is nothing better...

Tight sounding low-end

What firmware are you running? I had that in the older firmware but the latest firmware has gotten rid of the flubby mushy low end especially on my Les Paul's / humbuckers.

I am assuming that you have already updated all of your drivers, chipset, audio, etc... I am also assuming that you have tried the AXE in all of your other USB ports and the problem is on the usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports. I have had several problems using usb 3.0 and have to use the usb 2.0 ports...

You can do it in windows also, and you can set any device to play out through any other. To accomplish what he wants to do even on my mac I need to use soundflower.

VAC is one of the easiest. You can also enable the stereo device that is hidden and disabled in windows audio by default and than set your mic to listen and play back through it, people on Skype will hear anything on your computer or you can configure your music player to use a specific audio...

Had he put out a video on creative I may have purchase it. There are dozens of ax-fx videos on the web that you can watch for free. He also had a few on YouTube. Are you saying he took his old youtube videos offline and made them pay? I just did a search and found that one.

Expression pedal WAH always active ?

Ahhh so the pedal actually changes the bypass state of the block ? That was driving me nuts. Axe-Edit does not reflect the block state when I step on the pedal, it looks like it is always in bypass. I can see it changing on the front of the XL. Thank you.

I already use Axedit from a 27 inch touch screen on my DAW and remote from a Surface pro. Its not the same as a 1U rack with knobs like a regular amp. I wish I had time to work on something like this. Cant wait to see what you guys come up with. I would really love to see a fully supported...

This ^^ People are just referring to it like that because that is the default setup. Out of the box Presets1-5 and Reveal, Scenes 1-5. Nobody says you cant edit anything you like. Read the manual if you are an owner.

Kemper 2.7.0 VS Axe Fx II XL 16.02

Made me LOL. My 2 cents. I have a Kemper and since I updated my XL to firmware 16.02, I rarely touch it. Its not that kemper is not a good unit, I like it. My XL with all the effects, MFC101 mark III with Axedit, MFCedit are a much more complete package. Since 16.02 the tones with all my guitars...

I power cycled the MFC and its still the same. Scenes and reveal does nothing. Its very strange because every firmware before this one worked fine and even when I flash with any of the old firmware it works just like it should. Very puzzling. Thanks for trying M8. I really appreciate your time.

iaresee I want it the old way with 1-5 as presets and reveal as scenes. IF the default now is that Scened is the default 1-5 and reveal does presets im ok with that. I am guessing I could change it to TX-map and customize the layout but I just really want to figure out why the default flash...

Yep tested all the switches. Up and down Incr / Decr do presets up down by 5 like they always did. 1-5 now does Scenes and 6- 15 do effects like they always did. Tap-16, tuner17 and edit all work as they always did. Reveal = Holding it long does Looper, short turns the led to green blinking but...
