I can't get to work FX Loop on AX8 with MATRIX GT1000FX 1U

Place the fxloop block, like you did, but AFTER the amp block! After the fxloop block, delete those blocks (geq and Vol, or put them on that row but before the loop block). Do not connect that row back to the bottom row after the fxloop block!

Any headless guitar player up in here?

I’ve only used Strandberg strings on my OS7 since 2015 with zero problems or complaints! They even have remained consistent in quality and price through the years! I order them straight from their site. I really wish Fender/Squier, Gibson/Epiphone would get into it with their own headless designs.

Why not 3-5 great guitars? Great doesn’t have to be expensive! I like different “tools” for different “jobs”. You know… humbuckers, single coils, Emg’s, seven strings, acoustic… for me they have different applications. 👍

Yes, you can do that. I’ve done Guitar > Axe III (then all pre effects out to) > Input JCM800 (Then, out of speaker 8 ohm amp output to) > LB2 amp input (then out of LB2 line output) > Axe III input (then add CAB block IR and all post effects) > (monitors, DAW, etc.) I use Humbuster cables...

I got the Blue Mofi back in 2015. About two months ago they died so I replaced them with same model, since I’m used to the sound. If you liked the 7506 and it’s in your budget, maybe stick with those.

Yeah the Turbo thing is easy to grasp.... while I run my mk1 at 75% a mk2 will run about 50%... For the features not available in mk1(FullResIR player, two slots in cab block, user bank destination) do they appear as “greyed out” options or just don’t show at all? Thanks

I have Axe3: word clock INTERNAL, SPIDIF/AESselect spdif, spidf/aes out source Output1 Focusrite: Sample rate 48, sync source SPDIF Use two SPDIF cables, in and Out Had this like that since 2015, first with XL then with the III and never had a problem. Good Luck!

Yes! Also the way i setup my presets is so i go out of Output 2 (Left, before Cab Sim block) into the Power Stage 170 and leave Output 1 available to send to House PA if the sound person wants/needs it.

Recommend a replacement tremolo for my Strat

I have a Callaham bridge plus Hipshot Tremsetter with Carl Verhayen style floating set up. I set it up once over ten years ago and it still works and stays in tune perfect while minimizing bends going out of tune. Rolling string-tree and white graphite lube at all string contact points also help.

On my Focusrite Saffire Pro40 I set it to “ spdif “ and on the Axe 3 I set the Word clock to “Internal” I don’t use xlr connections only spdif On the Saffire Pro40 spdif goes to inputs 9&10 , select those inputs on your Logic channels (tracks)

Well, i admit that for my gigs i only use one preset with a few scene changes! I also admit that once i'm settled on "my live tone preset" i don't change any i/o parameters (maybe cabinet simulation bypass). I know Out1 is for FOH, Out2 to power amp... i can set up quick in a dark stage...

Which poweramp to get for my AX8: Seymour Duncan powerstage vs EHX Magnum 44?

I used a EHX Magnum 44 with my AX8 for almost two years with good results until it “fried”, LOL, not in the middle of a set at least! It’s weak point was not having an on/off switch. For replacement I got SD PS170 over a year ago... and so far so good! I’d recommend the 170 over the 44 unless...

Stratocaster - Try again? Or punt...

A few Stew Mac tools, a couple Dan Erlewine books... learn to set up your own Fender or Squire strats... add some high quality upgrade parts and... Rock on! Unless you're loaded... then buy Fender Custom Shop, Suhr, Anderson, PRS(LOL), etc....
