The configuration for the Game Changer was done via software. It was a web page app that allowed this. There was not a stand-alone executable, just the program accessed via the webpage.

Nice, I am just getting ready to do the same thing. Did you use just the woofer side of the amp to power the F12 ? Also wondering, did you have to create a custom eq curve or did you just run the amp flat ? Any help/tips appreciated.

Input Boost - No increase in volume?

I usually add a filter block close, or at, the end of the signal chain - near the output block(s). I put it here as I don't want it to boost anything but the output volume. I set it to a "Null" Type and set the Level to a value like 3db or 4db. This does the trick as a solo boost for me.

Great power amp options for axe fx3?

I'm using a Powerstage 200 to power a Celestion F12-200X. I'm quite happy with this amp. Its plenty loud in a band setting and I really like the convenience of the EQ knobs for quick tweaks. I also have a GT1000. It also works well but in some cases I find it a little harsh in the upper...

@allenma Thanks for all the info - really appreciate it. You have covered issues that I will soon cross - saved me a bunch of time / research. You got me past the first major hurdle, hooking up the amp using the F12's crossover and using only one side of the Dayton. Thanks again.

@allenma - I have been considering doing the exact same thing. Curious, did you use just one side of the dayton to power the F12, and if so, did you leave the tweeter side just disconnected ? Wondering if you connected that way or did you bypass the F12 internal crossover and use both amps...

    Cab Wiring Question

If you don't want to modify the cabinet a possible simple solution would be to wire the cabinet in stereo. To use the cabinet in mono, at 16 ohm, you could then make a custom speaker cable - it would be single 1/4" at one end and at the other end (cab end) it would be two 1/4" jacks wired in...

    FRFR For Live Performance

I like using the Friedman ASC-10 cabinet(s). Self powered using a 10" woofer (and a tweeter of course). They are not overly heavy in weight and give a cabinet feel for me. They sound best a little louder - at low volumes some find them dark... I personally don't find this.

Any rumors about an FX8 successor?

I agree in that I'd like to see an updated FX8. Still have and use my original but it would be awesome with the updated efx of the ax3. I'd even welcome a modular format where FX8 'brain' would sit back with the amp and be controlled by an FC controller. It would make for a more simple 4cm...

Do you have an Axe-Fx III and an FM3?

I have both. I tend to use the FM3 for rehearsals and smaller gigs. I use the Axe III when I want more connection possibilities or need to use more complex presets. To me each has it's purpose and I don't regret having purchased both and I have never considered selling either.

Friedman cabs: ASM + ASC vs ASC + ASC and other Qs

Friedman cabs: ASM + ASC vs ASC + ASC and other Qs

I have two ASC-10s. I went this route mostly for the reduced weight over the ASC-12. I prefer the cabinet shape to the monitor because it is easier to transport and takes less room to pack into a vehicle. Besides the physical characteristics I do like the sound of the ASC-10. I understand...

Friedman vs Yamaha - Which FRFR to buy?

The Friedman 10" (ASC-10) is lighter than the 12" (ASC-12) version (34 lbs vs 59 lbs) and has less bottom end. There is plenty of bottom with the 10 and addresses the issue of some people finding the 12" too much bottom. Just some facts if you are considering the Friedman line.
