Check out Mental Case, Inc. For your particular situation I recommend having a doghouse made on the back of your board. You can then install an interface to the doghouse, or have them install the plate for you. Easier setup/tear down this way. They make killer road cases and live-in-case...

Furman surge protector worth it?

Why not go with the Furman PL8C? Or is this what you are talking about? This is the most common power conditioner and surge protector out there, mounts into your rack, overall awesome and 100% worth it. If you are going to spend the $$ to get a Fractal, Rack, Power Amp, etc. buying something...
