thoughts - buy Glenn's Rush patch...then tweak & tweak. On the delay, proly need to use diffusion setting in the delay block. Or pay a "hired gun" to get a prest close for ya, then tweak.

Your thoughts on Low Res in speaker section of Amp block(Rock music)

When trying to tame bass down more, I noticed the "spike" of the Low Res in the graph. Reducing it seemed to take out what I needed. Anyone else use this or even like the idea?

Ghost Notes

It is a beautiful thing! Kind of confirms how many of the famous simple guitar tones recorded, have a sound of just amp & cab. My ears always heard ghost notes in isolated tracks, thinking it was a tad of chorus, phaser, doubling or fx.

How do I have a stereo mix when playing music etc thru Axe XL ?

Is there a simple way to have the full mix of each song from my ipod, Youtube or computer to be the full mix/stero mix? Many times its just the mono, so some parts are not heard. thx brothers!

On a similar note - fb just took down a cover of my band doing Kyrptonite, citing the Corporate Music Corp (cant remember actual entity)...it was our first gig, outdoors. Wonder who/how it was found? And who would care, it was buried in our vid's.

cab pack 12! heavy groove

I really like it .... and the mix is great! Doubt it needs anything more done to it. My fav "song" posting this year. The guitar is CRUSHING, for sure. It rules the track, so the other instruments/parts are a bit subtle. Sure, its not typical, but non-typical can be unique.

why do my tone matches always sound hollow or out of phase

Do this above. And a little discovery I've made is to then Tone Match, but put the TM block above or below the Cab (in parallel, as its called). This seems to add some girth or deep to the Tone Matching preset attempt. You can even tweak the cab & TM combo by adjusting the mix of each of um.

Insights for journey from gtr amp/cab to this...or frfr vs. fr

I've been w/ many Fractal yrs. Until 5 days ago, I had using an old fashioned/head-in-the-sand set up: Peavey Classic 50/50 rack mount power amp (12 tubes in it) into a Marshall MG 4 x 12 cab...its all been tweaked. It did get even better when I got a 2nd MG cab 6 mths ago, so I had much better...

What are best delay settings for high gain lead 80s solo

Some things I do; Up the delay volume a tad so it sticks out more. Play w/ each different delay type....dual / tape / Memory Man etc. Picking the best "Filter Slope" (has its own drop down box) can make it stick out more. Reduce some of the Low's. Inspect what others have in their presets....FAS...

I have Lincoln Brewster's Axe Fx Tones from Real Life

The amp block settings struck me: the HIGHs....treble & presence maxed out AND Bright switch on...never seen that before. But, the Ultra was overall darker sounding/muddy compared to what we have now.

rebuilt my axe fx 2 rig

Neat! I've only ever used my Peavey 50/50 all tube power amp ( EL's, a 12ax7 & 12tx7 on each side)...into a - - Marshall MG cab. Thats right, the small one. Its always sounded SO damn good. And, I know the setup doesnt color the sound - playing mp3's thru it for tonematching, the music...

Yep, one more hurdle....MFC is set to preset mode, but when I click button 2-5 they read: IASw02 etc. How do I get it to not do this, and go to/display the preset name? Your help is very much appreciated.

Upgraded to Quantum from 16.01... presets sounds shitty

I came from 12.2 firmware to Quantum (and a Axe II to an XL+). Long time FAS user & Love QUANTUM !! For numerous reasons, I've begun "dialing in" some of my fav custom presets. They mostly sounded instantly better, more precise and clear. I needed to do minor tweaks on a few since I go thick...

QUANTUM, quick question: previous firmware presets work?

Not sure if I read something about this: that if one is using Quantum (in an XL+ in my case) - if preset from a prior firmware can be uploaded & used? Recalling maybe is the new AXE EDIT for QUANTUM that wow'nt allow this. Thanks guys!

Who's had backtracks or tonematch coming thru their rig?

I'm curious if you've had "reference tones/songs" coming thru your rig...like backtracks or a tonematch. If so, how did it sound? Close or far different then the same played thru a stereo.
