IRs [ML Sound Lab] Halloween Cab Pack

Agree with the general trend here - ideal world for me is less time needing to pick between variants of the same cab and just have a "mix" ready IR for each cab or style. That way I'd spend less time flicking between IR's and more time playing! A pack with a single V30 IR (for heavier tones)...

Axe III as interface?

I run mine via my Focusrite 2i4 - it works well for me and the direct monitor function makes it easy to blend and set levels, etc. Really just suggesting try both out and see what works for your workflow.

2i4 doesn't have spdif. I use 2 outputs of the axe into 1 and 2 of the 2i4. Each of my presets has an effect path, and a straight through path for the DI. I know I could use copy 1 in 2 out option, but I have other presets for live use (output to foh and other to pwr amp n cab) and I don't...

Cheers mate, appreciate the feedback. Yeah its pretty much a style that your gonna have a love/hate relationship music wise lol. I don't mind some brutal metal when I'm in the mood for it, but I do prefer their original songs over the cover.

Sweet, really can't go wrong with Mesa OS with v30's and sm57. Have you played much with the Friedman (I think thats what its called?) technique? Does a similar effect to your phasing trick I think?

Just to cover my butt, real amp & cab and FOH question.

Assuming you want to use the gain from the Axe Guitar - Wah/Drive/whatever - Amp block - FX Loop (this comes out of output 2 and goes to the amp - Cab Block - Output 1 (this goes to FOH)
