Axe into FX Return of Amp - Underwhelmed

This is how I do it FWIW, leave power amp sim on, I put a fx loop block in perallel after the amp and run output 2 to my poweramp. See how it sounds, then start playing with mv on the axe to the mids sounding the way I want. More mv will yield more mids with softer top end and a looser...

Please help:Not enjoying my Axe through a poweramp and into a cab

I have been down the road, and am still on it for the most part. Just today I ran 2 amp blocks, one for my main tone into my DAW w/ a cab after it and sag on. Then my second amp is the same amp but with sag turned off and routed to out 2. This way I can play with my live amp block independently...

How do I get this kind of bottom end?

I find that if I cant achieve the low end I want with fiddling with the bass, and depth knobs. I will put a Null mic in the cab block and raise the distance parameter to taste.

If I understand you correctly, could be a "pre" amp EQ thing going on. I assume you are using a drive block? If so, I have found that a drive block can exaggerate that plasticy sound. If you go to your drive block, and turn the Mid knob to 3 o'clock and turn the Mid db knob up to 3...

Problem re-amping with AXE-FX II, Liquid Saffire 56 and Logic

I have a pro 40 and have the same issue. I can do it no problem with my roland quad capture, so I think there is a problem in the mix control. I know mix control is confusing as hell!!! I usually swear at least once every time I open it up. Hopefully someone can chime in and help us both out...

I was messing around with cablab, browsed for a bunch of my OH wav. files that I downloaded. I noticed that if I bring up a file with cablab and send it to scratch pad, I get a slightly different tone (brighter) than converting the same file to sysx. and loading it into a user slot. And also...

Recording time help.

If I understand your question properly, turn global cab sims back on. In your signal chain add a fx send block before your cab block. Then run your output 1 to your mixer and output 2(fx send) to your power amp and cab. That will bypass the cab but allow your full tone to reach your mixer.

You could take a TM of your cab. Dont touch the positioning of anything, export that TM into a cab. Then use that IR you just made in your signal chain, and do another TM of the RAW amp sound with your cab bypassed. Then take your new TM and run that after your new IR...in theory these two...

I just wanted to say...thank you Cliff and the FAS team for all your hard work and attention to detail! This update is amazing...I usually play on the heavier side, but after this update and with the Ultra-res, I am really enjoying the cleaner amps and the 1x12's that we got with the firmware...

Using Axe fx or DAW for IR shooting???

Just a quick Q here. I use studio one and it has an IR maker. I can adjust the length of the capture in ms. and it uses a sine sweep for the capture. Would there be any benefit to using my daw's IR maker for ultrares, or would using the axe for shooting IR's be better? thanks

So italics are Ultrarez, does this mean that Clark kent's ir's are ultra rez? Cause they show up italicized in axe-edit for me!

13.0 Frozen w/ axe edit 3.04 - communication timeout (FIXED)

Same thing here!!! only seems to freeze when changing presets in axe-edit as chef described.

^^^This is what I do. Run SPDif out from interface into axe, then run your normal line out of axe in to interface.

I'm sure someone that actually uses reaper will chime in. In your DAW "reaper" there should be an audio options folder of some sort. You should be able to go there and Axe FX should show up as a interface to choose from, that is if you have installed the Axe fx drivers on your computer and are...

Yeah I literally just figured out how to do this yesterday. For days I was looking through axe edit and not seeing anything. So after like 3 days of frustration, I happend to glance at the front panel, and sure enough there is "export"! You would think that FAS could have just put that in...

Thanks for the responce. This is what I tried to do, but when I enter in the name after choosing which user cab slot I want, I then hit save and it doesn't save the name I entered in for the cab!
