    Energyball is Amazballz

I like Energyball too. I have been searching for quite a while for a more "organic" metal amp model but ended up with Energyball again. It cuts through very well in the metal mixes. It' my obligatory left guitar in a mix. For live purposes, I would sometimes go with something else but for...

Thanks a lot! The IR_5_string_banjo_dazzo_IR44k actually helped me with a sitar sound. I was making a banjo preset (it worked excellent too) but then the Thievery Corporation - Lebanese Blonde came into my mind. I tried once before to reproduce the sitar from that song but this took me there...

Does anyone else find it funny

We have a huge TV in our living room and we all watch series and movies on our laptops and cell phones. Why? The picture is undoubtedly better on the TV. Transitioning from 6 string to 7 string?

It wasn't hard for me and I was already older. At the beginning you'll be confused for a day or two and afterwards it will become the new normal. I'm missing a string now if I take a 6-string guitar in my hands. I've even bought a classical 7-string guitar.

Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

I can say now after testing DC some more, that that was exactly what I was missing with the usual IRs. Some of the sounds that I had in my head came to life. Changing the mic position makes a huge difference, it gives a completely different texture with small moves. To me it sounds now perfect...

    The soundtrack to your life?

I was a teenager, around end of '80s. We've played cards and one of my friends put a tape on repeat. I never had metal music on my radar before. In the whole mix, Metallica's Blackened appeared periodically. After 2-3 runs I was obsessed by the Song, I've never heard something so interesting...

Dyna-cab, general consensus is that they're "better" than legacy?

I'm clearly subjective but I can only tell that I've had the best session ever with the new feature - DC. Among all the IRs that are in the unit and all the IR packs that I've bought, nothing comes even nearly close to my first experiment with the DC.

Solid State amps, are they going to be here someday?

Projecting your own taste on others and mocking the big part of the customer base that would like to see some amps that many consider legendary and that are used by notable guitar players won't bring us anywhere and it isn't fair from your side. Solid State amps, are they going to be here someday?

We are fully digital here but we like the scent of glowing tubes. ;) We can surely manipulate some of the available amp models to make it sound like a solid state but adding a few Randall models would be like making several thousands of customers really happy and thankful.

Help! I'm a newbie and my used FM3 sounds like trash

Try this quick fix: go to the Cab block, there you'll find a low cut and a high cut. Start with 85 Hz low and 6500 Hz high. They default to full frequency range. Furthermore, go to the Amp block and find Input EQ. Go with the low cut there and try e.g. 767 Hz, go higher or lower from there. 767...

A potential quick fix: compression. I came from a cheap product to a Fractal one too. Cheaper and older stuff isn't realistic as Fractal technology and tend to have more compression.
