I have been having the timeouts errors for a couple of years. I thought it was because my old OS (MacOS X 10.6.8) It happens when I connect the AXE to the mac via usb to edit presets with axe edit. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not, and the only way to solve it is restarting the mac.

During all this years of updating firmwares one thing that have always amazed me was how small were the syx filles needed to run the machine... and now I found that they are becoming to big to keep the updates without upgrading. LOL

Anyway I think I will try to conect the AXE USB to an audio interface and from that to the mac. Afterall it is not supposed to work if connected direct under 10.6.8. although some magicians like you are able to do it. LOL Thanks again for your patience

The Logic part you explained was the samething I was trying to do. The AF part I don´t know where to do it. In the I/O menu? In that menu I have USB/DIGI OUT SOURCE OUTPUT 1

How do you do it? The problem is that my Axe wont appear anywhere as an USB audio input device. In the drivers page... http://www.fractalaudio.com/drivers.php ...it says that it won´t work as an USB audio device with 10.6.8.

Rename EMPTY User Cab

It happened to me a while ago, but I can´t remember exactly how I solved it. I think I exported the cab block, and renamed it on my mac. Then I imported that again to axe. But I´m not sure, it was a couple of months ago. All I can say is that it can be solved. LOL

why do my tone matches always sound hollow or out of phase

I have the same problem. The tones I get always sounds worst than the patches I can create without tone matching. I gave up trying TM a long time ago.

What made you decide to go Axe FX?

A Guthrie Govan video. He recorded it with the AXE which I have never been aware of. I heard no diference with a real amp, and in my book, if digital implies no loss of quality it always wins. A couple of years later I think this is the best thing that have happened to the guitar world...

Recommended Firmware Update: 11.03

The same happened to me with the TripTik Classic. I made yesterday a patch with FW11.02 that I was really enjoying. I updated and the magic it´s not there anymore, now the patch sounds more clean and polished. I have downgraded again, because I want to enoy the old patch a little more. :)
