Bug? MFC-101 (Occasionally) Loses Connection

I'll try another cable and see. I was wondering if it's possible to get interference along an Ethernet cable from other electrical stuff. I've got quite a few other devices nearby with power cords, etc. Thanks for the idea.

Bug? MFC-101 (Occasionally) Loses Connection

About once a week, my MFC-101 Mark III stops communicating with my FX-II (no footswitches work). If I just reboot the FX, all's fine. I'm using an EtherCon cable for connection/power. Any thoughts?

Using Presonus AudioBox USB with FXII

I just got a PreSonus AudioBox USB DAW setup and was wondering how I might route my FXII signal to it. It has guitar/mic inputs and a USB in/out. I'm pretty new to this stuff, but I want to keep things simple and was hoping to get an output signal from my FXII to match the required...

Traffic Jam Preset?

Does anyone know if the preset called "Traffic Jam" (not "Freeway Jam") has been removed with recent updates? It was really cool with a descending pitch panning echo thing. I may have backed it up, but I'm not sure how to find it or retrieve it.

Dedicated Laptop for Axe-Edit

I have a FCB1010 foot controller hooked up via MIDI, and I've notice that sometimes it's "at odds" with the switching sent through AE. I get delayed switching, and sometimes pops through my speakers.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good budget laptop to use solely as an Axe-Edit to FX-II interface? Any advantages to type/brand? I've got mine hooked up to my desktop computer right now, but I'd like a dedicated computer for programming/adjusting my FX-II.

Regarding the TUNER page, it is on the first one. So, does anyone know what the default MIDI CC setting is on the I/O menu for the tuner? I may have changed it at some point and am not sure what it should be.

I'm probably missing something, but when I click on the tuner on Axe-Edit I get the display but no movement of the meter (as if there's no signal being input). The tuner display on the FX-II works just fine. Any ideas?

Yeah, I talked about the "mid-priced" thing earlier. I'm amazed at how expensive small monitors can be (looking at the Sweetwater catalog-Genelec, ATC, etc.) How about the Equator D5s vs the D8s? I don't need anything huge.

Yeah, you're right about pricing. I'm a home player not an engineer, so my needs are different. I guess that begs the question: Can a good engineer really hear the difference with a high-end monitor? Just curious what the criteria are. Thanks for the input.

Mid-priced to me would be $150 to $350 each. I should have clarified that. If you look at a pro-audio catalog, some 6-inch monitors cost over $2,000.

Anyway to activate a metronome with the Axe FX?

I'm trying to control the FX-II's metronome with an FCB1010. Does anybody if it's possible to set it up with an on/off function (switch) and use one of the expression pedals to control tempo?

I have a trial version of Sonar X2 and I'm getting an error message saying my FXII drivers don't support the current audio format. I've tried some things, but I am stuck. I'm a rookie at DAWs, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The power supply I received with the MM is rated at 1800 milliamps and the FX manual warns against plugging any adapter over 1 amp in its Phantom Power jack. Think I should try a different power supply?
