I read somewhere, that if your strings are too close to the pole pieces, or magnetic field is too strong, it can interfere with the vibration of the string, which some people call “tone suck” and a lowering of the pickup away from the strings helps. It’s all about finding the right spot where...

Problem loading IR’s into AX8

I’m using AX8 edit to load IR’s and I’m getting a not valid block file bad checksum error. I haven’t had this problem before.. I also have a AXE Fx II+ and it is doing the same thing. Does this have something to do with Apple’s High Sierra 10.13.1?

Back As A Fractal Owner, XL+ or AX8 Dilemma

I have an XLII+ I had for a while , that I would use with a fcb 1010. I l love it, but hate lugging it around for live gigs, so I figure I would leave it in my studio for recording, and as of today.... I have an AXE8 as well! I will be looking forward to convenience. If it were me to choose...

The FCB 1010 eurkaprom and the Axe FX 2XL+ wha tracking conundrum

Well, I tried all the above, calibrated, recalibrated, set the auto engage to fast (tried both settings), have the damping set to 0, messed with the slope in countless configurations and still can’t the EurekaPROM FCB 1010 pedals to track via midi like a real wha. I don’t think it is possible...

Had a gig last nite and used beta 9.1....tweaked one of my presets beforehand, mostly a slight increase in master volume to offset the speaker compression which was around 4, for a Lonestar preset.. had a nice tone and my fingers weren’t fightin’ it. I’ve only had this box for a few months and...

Yes... this being the dilemma...do you know where I can read about options/solutions to this said hear predicament ? And does anybody disable cab/power amp sims for one output for say a Matrix 1000>212 cab , and keep the cab/power amp simulations for another output for FOH?

Axe fx into Firehawk 1500

I haven't yet. I would like to try the W/D/W set up soon. So far just LR output 1/4 to Firehawk aux in in the apartment. Haven't used it on a gig like that. It sounds good. I'm not sure all speakers are engaged this way. I was trying to find out if the latest firmware for the Firehawk solved...

So.... I've had my Axe FX for a few weeks now and it's the cats ass and a bag of chips... the tone is incredible! I've learned a lot about this thing in a short amount of time thanks to this fine community here. I was wondering.... I have been using the Beringer FCB 1010 as a midi controller...

I would also add that it seems to me that line 6 hasn't put to much development into the Firehawk 1500 and putting most their time in the Helix, I could be wrong, but it's kind of crickets on the Firehawk 1500 forum page

I have a Firehawk 1500 and the Axe FX, I have it wired in stereo through the monitor L/R inputs. In the house, have not used it on a gig yet. I cranked it up up today and it sounds good. I don't believe all of the Firehawk's speakers are utilized in this way. I believe the center horn is...

Power amp ideas

so I had my Axe FX XL2+ for about a month and I love it. I am thinking about getting a versatile power amp for a future FRFR set up. BUT... for now I want to use my Mesa 2/12 cabinet that I used wth a Mesa Line Star 50/100 watt head. Any ideas on power amps that work well with FRFR and guitar cabs?
