Shimmer Preset

I did make some changes to my IN/OUT settings recently. I had an issue where if the Expression Pedal was not attached to EXT 1 all presets with WAH etc would engage with max WAH. I changed the initial value for EXT 1 to 100% as recommended in the forum. Is that a bad idea ? Cheers

That last post is really informative and was the situation I suspected. I'm in contact with fractal support so hopefully we can isolate the issue. Living in Hong Kong poses major logistical issues with support from the dealer network in China and Hong Kong being non-existent.

I can understand that Amperage and Resistance could cause an issue (I am a pilot not an engineer ) but this should be quite easy to detect. Could I measure the V and A coming out of the 7 pin MIDI and compare to spec ? I would imagine they are ok because the MFC powers up ok directly. Maybe...

I am not sure how that would affect the MFC completing the power up. It almost seems like it doesn't have enough current. I did find a post sone time ago with similar symptoms. If you plug the power adaptor straight into the MFC until it boots then plug the power into the AXE phantom plug it...

Yeah same here. My ethernet port is dodgy and cannot use ethernet. I don't think I can use the FASlink adaptors to connect a MK1 AXE to a MK3 MFC

Presets on Second Row ?

How about bank size of 4 and start preset numbers at 5 ? So switch 5 would call a preset as would 6-10. Switch 1-4 could be set for IA to select the scenes ?

I've tried as suggested and created a Y amp using RECTO in my DC-10 preset. The CPU use didn't change much. I can then use scenes 1-5 to go from light to heavy. I guess I could still custom map some presets on the AXE as I did with my MM. Maybe do one bank that way and leave the others 1:1.
