On my system updating the firmware on any preset, empty or not makes no difference in speed. If 5-7 min is normal I am cool with that!

Hi all, It takes me about 7 minutes to update the firmware on my Axe-FX III. Running Fractal bot 2.11.1 on an iMAC Pro 2017 thought a USB-C connector. Does this sound about right or is there something funky with my connection? Cheers!

Damn. I did not have time to download it. Beta issues do happen so I hope Fractal does not stop getting beta versions out to us just because a few people freak out even though there’s an easy way to revert to previous firmwares in the unlikely event something goes wrong.

You are talking about CAB modelling right? If so yes, you get better definition with the UltraRes, especially in the low end IMHO.

I'm using Logic Pro X in Yosemite and I don't have any of these issues. I run it through USB. It's been good so far but need to make sure to set the project to 48hz.

The OP mentioned he goes through an audio interface via it's analogue outputs and does not use USB. If so I think the solution may be to just lower the volume of the AxeFX track in the mixer.

These are rather cool: 4 Space (4U) | AudioRax Desktop Studio Equipment Rack This is for my home office and studio so it should look "nice". Not exactly cheap but they look great. I like the wood options.

Thanks. That's a great one. I have a similar one for gigging. What I want is the smallest possible. No protection, cover, just something to bolt the racks on. Perhaps slightly slanted to make it easy to work with on a desk. A bit like in the guitar shops where they have all the racks, but only...

UltraRes factory cabs?

Yes. But the OH Ultrares Cabs don't cover all the cabs that were "lowres" in the AxeII. The OH IRs are different speakers in the same cabinets so the are bound to be different. But they do sound great. Having all the originals in Ultrares would be awesome though. And the other two producer...

That's not very helpful. You are really stating the very obvious. I think asking how to tell which Firmware a preset was created on is a valid question since values and setting parameters change between firmwares. One could be interested in that. But I don't now the answer to the OP's question.
