So why aren't all factory cabs UltraRes yet?

I love my AxeFx. It's the best gear purchase I've ever made. Whenever I'm playing around with the factory pre-sets, I can immediately tell if it's using High or Ultra resolution IRs and for me, high-res is just not in-line with the current quality of tones that Quantum and UltraRes has brought...

Cliff, Get rid of some factory cabs to free up space!!

I just want all the factory cabs to be UltraRes. It's been the standard for... years? Why are there still low-res cabs? While they sound good, they don't sound good compared to similar UltraRes cabs. It's my main/only complaint about how the allocation is used.

Spring Reverbs?

I've experimented with dephase control quite a bit and seem to like it between .36 and 1.2ish. I don't understand how it works and have done some searching, it doesn't seem that we'll find out how it works but that's not the point of this thread. I have some questions to get the discussion...

Who is using dephase?

It took me a while to find how I like it. Basically I try to find the setting that makes me happy with both my AT headphones and my CLR. It's generally in the 1-3 range and dialed in with the headphones because they have less high end on tap and keeping it feeling/sounding good there...

I noticed the dual DSP architecture but the fact that they don't brag about it being a top-tier Analog Devices setup makes it a little dubious. I'm curious about the HX modeling. I just doubt it'll compete 1:1 with the current AFX Firmware.

Guitar Cab Guy Going FRFR...opinions on Atomic CLR NEO, Mission Gemini 1X12...others?

I feel so spoiled with my CLR. I used to manage a big guitar store and am intimately familiar with how amps sound. I now drastically prefer the AXE/CLR combo to the point that plugging into tubes amps with their ultra dry directional sound is kind of disappointing in comparison to me.

getting best amp in the room feel out of CLR

I prefer the sound of the axe/clr to traditional rigs but it'll never sound exactly like a cab because that's just not the signal chain. I think if you can get a power amp and traditional cab you'll be "there".
