Wouldn't it be cool to implement the virtual capo also in the global settings menu besides in the pitch block ? The guitar tuning could be changed for all presets easily without having to add a block in each preset you need to use with a different guitar tuning. Any thoughts?

Well it was my ears who said it was right...:) I tried to match this user preset with his recordings and raising the input trim was the right choice for my setup...you are absolutely right, there are no correct settings !!!

Anyway, thanks to everybody joining in...the answer I was looking for was raising the input trim...the reaction between MV and preamp gain had not to be tweaked to achieve the desired results. Can anybody explain why I had to raise my input trim? Is the output of my PUs weaker than the ones used...

That makes sense...just tried it and it improved a lot...raised the input trim and tadada there it was :) What does it mean when I have to increase my input trim of that user preset? Is the output weaker of my PUs? Do I need to tweak the MV trim as well ?

Thanks for your answers !!! I really appreciate your help !!! I won't give up :) !!! Maybe it is better to create own presets or use other user presets as templates !!! Anyway...just recorded a simple riff and kept my preset very easy...I only modified the knobs I would find on a real amp...

Different guitars and pickups ok....but wait, aren't we playing through an amp modeller? That is the reason we bought this device...to get close the target sound...so how can I tweak the preset to get closer to the target sound?

Got it, thanks !!! My first impression after this "discovery" is that this "expander effect" seems to be less "brutal" than a noise gate...and it seems to be very efficient for getting amp buzz under control. Especially as a gate is a static gain control while an expander is a variable gain...

You should be able to setup the aggregate device in your Mac, and then select this as your audio device in Cubase, then hopefully Cubase will let you select the ins/outs from that. Well, that's how Logic works so I am not sure if it will work for Cubase. Try to google on this subject and I am...

Ahh ...I think I got your question now...you will have to set up an aggregate device in your Mac...google for instructions how to set up an aggregate device for the Mac. Tried this and you can achieve the desired set-up with that.

Have set my buffer size to 256 in Logic Pro X. When I record I activate the low latency mode which really works great for me...no noticeable latency. For mixing and mastering I then turn off the low latency mode. Don't know whether cubase has a similar feature... Sorry, am not at home right now...

I am not using an amp, it was reamped via usb. Same preset, first scene...no changes. Here is a snapshot of the preset. For my taste the reamped version is lifeless and lacking dynamic.

Firmware updates...blessing or curse?

thanks for your comment, chris...but this does not answer my question... I gather from your reply that you rebuild presets from the scrap after a firmware update, am I correct ?

Firmware updates...blessing or curse?

hey there, I generally love firmware updates...but when it comes to the axe fx I wonder how you guys deal with your your favorite presets... unfortunately existing presets get unusable (or hardly usable) after a firmware update...how do you update your favorite presets to the new firmware...

Step by step...just got them....still have to try that...there is also a life without mo-fi's going on...although I already tend to forget it with these Headphones on :-)

Got my blue mo-fi headphones today...very happy with them...perfectly translate the axe fx sound...little bit heavy in weight, but it is only a question of time to get used to them...tried them also with my iPad...hudge sound!!! Thx for sharing your experience with these headphones:-)

New studio monitors for home recording

Hey there, I got my Equator D5's today...it was a battle getting them...they are sold out in all major sales points...but anyway got them today and just plugged them in to my axe fx. They translate the axe fx signal much better than with my yamaha HS7's...the sound is punchy and crystal...

Thanks to all !!! Went for the Equator D5 !!! Sound to be the best solution for me...great sound and small size. Talked also to my preferred store and they recommended them as well. By the way, you can order them at Thomann they are still on stock there.

Try to perform a system reset in the axe and load the clean sysex file from the fas support homepage...this helped in my case....tone got better.
