Wasn't being snarky. Just clumsily trying to express appreciation for your response and clarifying an equally clumsy question.

Moving presets containing blocks saved as global

That's good...I don't want them unlinked. I just need to move the presets the blocks were saved from. I guess the question is - are global blocks referencing a preset memory location? Or are they referencing a discrete block location? Thanks for responding!
  5. hillbilly

Moving presets containing blocks saved as global

I imagine this has been answered before but my search didn't turn up anything. If I move a preset containing blocks that were saved as Global Blocks to another memory slot, will other presets linked to those Global Blocks unlink, or change?

Using an iPad for live performance

I'm thinking of building a little live setup around my iPad to use as a backup to my Axe-Fx rig, local gigs, etc. I'm stuck on which audio interface to get. I'd like to stay in the $150 to $200 price range as I won't be using it all that often, so the Apogee Duet and the like are out of the...

Songs palette and preset list don't display

That's what I figure as well. The windows are simply vanished, tho. Running a laptop, single monitor, can't call the windows from the task bar at all. Even changed screen resolution hoping they would show up off the edge somewhere. I know I didn't drag them off the screen, I learned that lesson...

Songs palette and preset list don't display

Still no joy. I uninstalled Java, took your link and re-installed. Still get the palettes on the task bar but no windows. There must be some incompatibility with my system. Not a deal-breaker, but the palettes sure are a nice idea. The frustrating thing is that they worked one time.

Songs palette and preset list don't display

Sorry, none of this seems to apply. It's a laptop running Intel integrated graphics, not an NVIDIA card, and there's no provision for adding software. Love the app, but when I try to display the songs palette and preset list nothing happens. Well, an indication of another MFC-Edit window appears on the task bar, but that's all. I move the main window around thinking new window may be behind, but no joy. I've imported the preset list from...

    Jumping 48 public firmware updates!

I know, the flow of improvements has been spectacular. Jumping 48 public firmware updates!

I'm beginning to think y'all are correct - 10 days just isn't enough time. Unfortunately, 'enough time' only occurs about once a year and life seems to get in the way. Maybe I'll try doing what I can with Quantum, downgrading for shows, upgrading again for more tweakage, downgrading again, etc...

I've been blessed/cursed with being too busy to update my Axe-Fx for quite some time and I'm about to jump from v13.07 to Quantum 3.03! (Yeah, I know.) I've got 10 days to recreate 85 live presets and a handful of generic presets for studio. I've got backups galore and I'm assuming I should...

    Lefty but play righty?

I'm a lefty and I play lefty, strung correctly, and I too have trouble with picking technique. Picking is more difficult, after a point, for both lefties and righties, partially due to the fact there are so many "cheats" for the fretting hand such as hammers, pulls, slurs, and glisses that...

"interaction" (not feedback) of guitar and cab

I think the only true way to get a result you want would be to take an output from the Axe-FX and amp it into a transducer physically mounted in the body of your guitar. A good idea. Maybe I need to have this conversation with my luthier friends.

I've found that a heavier string allows for a lower action, which is important to me as I also do a lot of fretting on my open-tuned guitars as well as slide playing. Well, the festival went okay. Production had step-down trannies for 110v, so it was a moot point. The airline knocked a wiring harness loose in my MFC, however, and killed a row of switches. Sure wish I had discovered that sometime before midway thru the show. ;-)
