Agree with all points and I do get it. However, in my highly biased opinion, the Axe FX III is in such a different league that it should not be competing on price! Helix Rack $1499, Kemper non-powered rack $1799, Axe FX III $2499 makes sense to me!

Actually the other way around. I create the preset and save it on the iPad. Then I export/load it to another preset on the same Axe III and it does not load/transfer from FracPad to the empty preset. But probably same issue of preset version change.

I create a preset using 11.02 beta using FracPadIII and save it on my iPad. I then go to load the preset back into the Axe into an empty preset and will not load. There is no error message. The onboard preset just remains empty.

Noticed that 11.02 beta created presets are being saved but not able to loaded into the III. It is beta Ax firmware but thought I would mention it anyway. Note: my pre 11.02 presets load just fine so probably something in the way the new 11.02 beta saves the presets.

Neo Ventilator 2 vs Axe-Fx III Rotary Effect

I have a Neo Vent 2 and an Axe III. The Axe rotary is pretty darn good but the Neo is in a whole other league - don’t sell it!! That said I still have a pedal board and custom made amp (Allston OAC) that I use for some gigs so I am probably an outlier!

How well does Tone Match work and how hard is it to get isolated tracks?

I use it for acoustic where I am tone matching the mic’ed guitar sound for live playing using the same guitar. Works amazingly well. This is the only reason why I would like to see the TM block added to the FM3. Would make a perfect acoustic rig!!

Wound up going with FC6 over the 12 and am pleasantly surprised

Similarly impressed with the 6 after rehearsal and 2 gigs. One of the reasons I use Fractal gear is to avoid carting around an amp and a 3 ft wide pedal board that takes up far too much space on the small stages I play (for the controller and 2 expression pedals)!

This worked out really well this weekend playing at 2 different church campuses! The FC6 is really well thought out to allow guys like me who prefer 2 expression pedals and do a preset per song with 3 scenes and everything neatly positioned on a pedal train 2 board.

Which pedaltrain or other for AX8 and 2 pedals?

I have a PT2 and Pro and while I can get 2 Mission pedals on the board with my AX8 there is some over hang. I carry it in a Monocase and it works fine. The Pro is a better fit but it is much larger. For me it holds 3 expression pedals with enough room for several other stomp boxes.
