    Not sure why this was ignored but I have the axe fx 3 and a Hughes and kettner. I found that using the German vh4 tone stack with the recto red 1 was most like the 3 rd recto channel on the Hughes.

    Do You Hear a Difference

    There is no perceivable difference for me as a whole, although if I focus on how the frequencies react in a three-dimensional sense (how the frequencies are moving in relationship to each other), I can maybe pinpoint a difference.....but then again, I can't do this accurately by just listening...

    I might have missed an earlier thread about this (I swear somebody mentioned it before) but I was wondering how I could go about adding gain to the higher frequencies while keeping the lower frequencies clearer with less saturation.     Wanted: Amps to Model

    I have a Hughes and Kettner Triamp MK2 that I could send. It really does have a unique gain response and I'm sure the new MIMIC feature would make this amp stand out.
