H9 in AX8 Efx Loop tone?

No output signal after copying a preset to a new location?

Re-copying fixed the problem. Just in case / for future reference: I used Ax8-Edit to save the working preset to a new location in the same bank. The problem I could see was a loss of output at the efx out (there was no signal showing on efx return meters while the outboard H9 was unchanged...

Perfectly working preset on my AX8; copied the preset to a new location in AxEdit where I plan to make some adjustments; no output. I’ve stared at AxEdit layout for a while and switched back & forth between presets and see nothing as to why there’s no output? Ideas on where to look? Experience?

This thread has morphed a little. I’m surprised at those who haven’t found the cool bloom of a volume pedal before the amp. Yes, same as volume knob so you get it but much easier with your foot and allowing changing notes/chord shapes while you gain up. I also play lap steel through my AxFxII...

So putting a volume block before the amp block in the chain will affect the gain up/down just like my adjusting volume on the guitar correct? I like the gain impact as I swell.

So if I like the gain changing as I volume up, running the instrument signal through the pedal is best. For flexibility of moving the pedal around in the chain, the switch input is obviously best. Hmm, never really thought of moving volume around in the chain.

For volume pedal, EV2 or EV1, why would you run it to aux with a volume block versus just routing your input through the pedal like an analog rig? Pros v Cons?

Yes, just changing presets. Start playing on preset 007 and save with “Drive 1” disengaged. Switch to preset 008, then back to preset 007. Preset 007 loads with “Drive 1” engaged.

Yes, started after update. Yes, MFC has Axe-Fx mode enabled and all other IA’s work fine (delay, verb, etc)just as before update. Function of IA switch is set to “Drive 1”. The IA switch works but this one effect defaults to “on” regardless of my saving as “off”.

I did re-configure all the IA's in the MFC and double checked that the switches are pointed to the correct effects. I am trying to 'engage / bypass.' I don't need X/Y. Thanks for any help.

MFC101 IA and ext SW control ?

Can you have an MFC101 ext switch clone / control the same effect block as an MFC IA switch? Specifically I'm looking to have an external switch in addition to IA for clean boost (6dB filter boost) and another for tap tempo. It would be really cool if the MFC led tracked the ext switch.
