Any control ideas for non MFC players?

Are you using the amps in your signature or just the Axe-FX 2? If you are using multiple amps, you could always get a G*Labs LMS-1 (Y/ABCD switch) and a ENGL Z-11 Midi Switcher (6x latch switch) so there is only a single input cable.

Just drop the backing tracks into your DAW, play along with them on your guitar and then mix it together later. After a few times you will know what the levels are going to be and you can send me the money you saved since it is burning a hole in your pocket anyways.

CPU question: (No Search results)

Since all amps & cabs sound different, that could be the reason for the variance in the CPU usage. Look at it like Microsoft Notepad vs. Word. Both do basically the same thing, just one is more cpu demanding than the other.

As long as you do not update the factory presets after upgrading to FW 10, then you shouldn't have problem. Back up you existing presets before upgrading just in case...

so what next for fractal?

Think in lines of "Computer to MP3 player relationship". A computer is able to do multiple things including playing music while an MP3 player is limited to playing the music that is stored on there. Axe-FX 2 would be the computer in this scenario.
