I dont get it. The Axe FX "should" be used with pre-programmed presets as I see it, and when you do need to make a change you can do it very easy on the Axe it self. Even on the fly in a live-situation. Just my opinion of course, a lot of people might find this useful, but to me its just and...

FCB1010 - is it possible?

I use mine like this (with the UNO chip). Upper row is selecting a preset and a specific scene by using midi mapping. So the first bank is for example preset 21 and i use the upper row to select scene 1 to 5. Next bank is Another preset and the five first scenes in that preset. Lower row is...

Not the ideal setup....

I know that many would disagree with me on this one but to me that is the whole point with the axe fx. Getting rid of heavy amps and cabs and running the axe through FRFR and to FOH.

Placing effects after cab sim?

For me its just a matter of what sounds best. I like to put chorus after the cab-sim. Delay and reverb is always last in the chain on my presets.

Bug? FW14.02 freeze?

I have done a lot of firmware updates on my Axe since i got it and never had a single problem until now. Rehearsed with it yesterday and the unit freezes several times during the rehersal. No input or output what so ever, and no buttons respond. Had to shut it off and on again and it was ok...

Something close to the Alembic F-2B?

The Alembic F-2B is supposed to be based on the Fender Dual Showman amp, offering a very clean and powerful tone. What in the Axe Fx 2 would you say is closest to the F-2B preamp or the Dual Showman? Im thinking some one of the Fender models must be close and maybe im missing some other...

Great experience with the Axe last night

Played with the PF tribute band last night, after a almost two year break. So it was the first gig with that band with the Axe FX 2, and first gig with a bigger PA system. My setup was Axe FX into my mixer, where I mix my signal from Axe, Lap steel and a unit that plays intro/outro soundclips...

Which midi controller should I get?

The best thing for a resonable price is FCB1010 with UNO-chip. I use it with MIDI-mapping where each bank is one preset with 5 different scenes. Works great!!

You can convert the files to 48k. I dont know if your DAW can to that, but Cubase can. Im sure you can find some free software to convert your files from 44.1 to 48.

OK I need some help need some Blackmore help

There is a lot of ambience in his tone on that album. Try to increase the room parameter. This is important to get the right tone. On made in japan the guitar is panned to one side and the organ to the other. But if you pan to the side where the organ is and listen when only the guitar sounds...

It seems to me that he (on top of being very ill) is tired of doing interviews. And the interviewer asks a lot of boring questions actually. Also, they were talking by phone. Maybe Baker don't like those new and modern ways of communicating and simply got a bit grumpy (or grumpier) by that? ;)...

Settin the Volume on a FRFR ...

How are your preset volumes set? Close to clipping output? They do not need to be that high. Try lowering the preset volumes and see if your volume control gets less sensitive!

I just made a solo-preset based on the Gilmour Rotary Lead preset i posted i while ago. This is for the solos of Dogs. Scene 1 is first solo. Scene 2 is solo later in the song. This is how I want it to sound, but its not miles away from Gilmours tone IMHO! Take it and do what you want with it...

Hey cliff how about this one?

Basically its just 50.000 for a cascade jumpered DR103 with some lights on the back for indicating tube-failing? Possibly not even used, as its a spare. :) And last, if you want Gilmours tone after dark side of the moon era, you should use and Alembic F2B or any other clean fender based...
