Soundguys eqing your signal

This is a weird trick and not professional at all, but works for me. Some sound guys I know tend to completely destroy the guitar, when they listen to it solo'ed, they start boosting and cutting the most weird frequencies, that you won't even notice in a band context, OR, may be needed in a band...

The guitar has a huge role in your tone. Try other types of guitars with other types of pickups (sorry If you already did, didn't read the whole thread)

That's a pretty decent tone IMO. I always struggle with that flubiness, and I consider it undesirable, and I end up using the Fas Crunch instead of the Plexis. HOWEVER, in a band situation, I don't even notice the flubiness, and the Plexis end up sounding more authentic. Don't think much about...

Plexi 1959 sits perfectly in a 3 piece hard-rock band.

Great to hear your opinion. I'm aware that an Ultra-res would give me that "extra sizzle", which I also like. The IR I used is the one I'm more comfortable with, especially in Live situations (the ol' normal res Basketweave TV)

What's your favorite Q4.00 clean model

I will edit the first post later to count the mentions each amp has. In the meantime, I'm digging a lot the tweed deluxe with low drive settings. The AC20 is also cool but its a bit 'small' to my taste. Am I missing something?

solo volume

+2.5 db volume boost for solos. Don't think I need more than this, I'm actually playing with an in-ear system and I like my rythm parts with a decent volume already. If I sudenlly boost +4db in my bandmates in-ears they will fire me ASAP :) I hear my rhytm gtr well enough to do some dynamics...

PLEXI 100W = FW18's Best improvement

May be placebo, just wanted to share this thought with you guys. I always loved super dymanic touch amps that I can make a whole gig without changing a preset - the Plexi always delivered me that, but now, it has waaay more BALLS than before. More heavier, and aggressive. Awesome, love it!

High gain amps that clean up with volume knob

I feel like those High Gain Monsters (5150's, Diezels) don't have that huge dynamic range. I'd rather grab a plexi 100 or a Vox AC30. Much more dynamic in my opinion.

Triptik Modern on 16.02...

Triptik is my go-to Lead model as well. Although I totally love the model, that "blanket" and "hollow" you describe is something I feel since the model was added. Perhaps it's the way the actual amp sounds like.

Who else LOVES the 1987x amp, what other amps have this character?

The Dirty Shirley is a good alternative to the 1987x, but it's SOOOO bass heavy. Much more than the 1987x in my opinion.

Help with Deluxe Tweed. Almost Unplayable

Depends, Not a pedal guy here. But been rockin' the AC30 model lately, so a Treble booster is necessary. But for certain effects, I really dig the "Octave Dist" for some "strange leads"

if a Pro reverb is basically a super reverb, then how can you emulate it perfectly?

For example: which value should i set the mids on a super verb model to replicate the sound of a pro reverb? (The pro reverb doesnt have a mid control thats why im asking) Thanks!
