Yes. Like the 8100. What I mean is some other solid state amps (be it Marshall, randall, or anyone else). Be cool to try. And I know the valvestate is considered a "hybrid" because of the tube preamp but I'm sure you get what I'm saying..

From Line 6 Helix, upgrade to Ultra or II?

I had both units at the same time and had about a year to compare. They both sound amazing. That being said, I would choose the II all day long over the Ultra. The II sounds are worlds above plus it has scenes and a stable version of Axe edit.

LED Question...

Yeah I am pretty sure that is the way to have I.A. LED's off when the effect isn't active (the "color blind" mode). I am just looking to swap the red and green (red active and green to inactive). Thanks though.

Chris I have it set to Ultra mode. I guess it probably wouldn't hurt to try Axe II maybe? Pretty sure the Axe II has a dedicated Looper block instead of using the delay block like the Ultra though. Maybe this is the issue?

In my opinion, and as mentioned in some previous posts, I think with the absence of LED's the clicks are very necessary to be sure the switch has engaged. Not sure I would be to confident with the other switches.

I know it doesn't help you now but when you get this battery issue sorted out (if that's the issue) I highly suggest backing up all of your patches on your comp. It is easy and all it takes is a cheap midi interface. I use this one: Amazon.com: M-Audio USB Midisport Uno MIDI Interface...
