    It’s funny that

Whenever I meet someone that is new to the Axe Fx, I share my story about the day got it, spent an hour going through stock presets, then going to a 3 hour gig and using it. I recently spoke to someone who just got one and how they were going to wait months before gigging with it. I said to go...

    Right channel clipping

Hey everyone, Did a quick search but no luck. I'm on day 2 of 3. Last night I noticed the red clip light on the right side of both Inputs 1 and 2 are staying on. I'm not getting close to clipping and checked levels in Utility. I tried powering down and up again but those two lights are still...

Hey guys, I'm in dire need of assistance with 8 gigs this week! I have an Axe-Fx II, current FW, MFC-101, on 3.07. Last week at a gig, I powered up to preset 1, everything is normal. I switch to preset 2 and no output, go back to 1, now no output there either. I powered down and on preset 1...

There's never been a better time than now to learn guitar with all the resources available. I've found a combination of tab and YT is great way. It's long way from my early days of playing vinyl at 16rpm to learn solos!!

    Piezo into the Axe

Currently for live situations, I'm FRFR. I have a preset where Scene 1 is my go to acoustic sound. Nothing crazy, just compression, eq, plus the usual time based effects. The thing that gets noticed at gigs when I play an acoustic tune is that I turn off the Cab block for this scene. So now its...

    Extreme and Nuno

I hear what you're saying Danny. I've been going back and forth this past week between Porno and 3 Sides. I recently rediscovered these guys after probably 15 years when I last listened to one of their albums. I was a fan back in '91-'93, saw them in '93 and '95, and really loved Nuno's playing, riffs, and songs. I thought the albums could have been produced differently, but no doubt a talented...

Switching guitars - LP to strat etc..

Agree with the Strat being a different beast and not fighting it. I've learned to accept that it won't be my main gigging guitar. 4x12 stereo or mono + introduction.

+1 on the 2290 delays. I use a single Marshall stereo 4x12 cab and at gigs, I feel like sounds are coming from everywhere. And yes, choruses instantly make you sound huge. Oddly, two 4x12 cabs in stereo does not make a bigger impact for me.

    Van Halen on Kimmel

+1 for Alex's snare and Eddie's tone and playing. The thing that fascinates me is when he does the trills here and the last album. He's 60 with multiple health issues and they sound just strong as they do when he was 22 on Van Halen 1. It gives me hope.
