How to emulate 'Ensemble' control from Strymon Cloudburst?

The new Cloudburst pedal sounds incredible. The 'cloud' types in the Axe III are already amazing, but is there a way to emulate the Ensemble mode? It sounds like a swell/pad and follows your playing. Thanks, Dan.

Using a lowpass filter instead of an IR solves most of the 'amp in the room' quandry.

The tilt EQ in the amp block is amazing!

Seriously, using a tilt EQ in the preamp section of the amp is amazing for tightening things up or warming thin tones up. With the JCM800, I can cut lows and add highs with the tilt EQ, reduce the drive and turn up the MV to get amazing, responsive tones that are not flubby. I love this box...

Is there a way of changing the range of gain in the Drive block?

Been seeing videos of the 1981 DRV, which is apparently based on a Rat but with 1/20 of the gain available. Trying to emulate it in the Axe, but I can't think how I might emulate the range of gain within that pedal. Any ideas? This might just be stupidity on my part, but I can't do it.

Wish Victory VX Kraken

Axe FX III mkII - will my mk1 get left behind with firmware updates? Answer - clearly not. Thread edited due to excessive negativity from one person.

The mkII looks grand, but I've only had my mk1 a year and the wording in the press release implies more capability for FW updates. Not too fussed, as the III is incredible as it stands currently, but I'm interested to know this. Cheers.

Implemented Dedicated, smooth shimmer reverb.

I would really like a proper shimmer reverb, one where the pitch-shifted notes come in slowly and don't have the horrible high-end frequencies that so many others have.

Implemented Shortcut to bypass all effects.

I love my Axe III so far, but find myself using presets as a starting point. I wish there was a really quick way to bypass everything except the amps and cab, so I can quickly edit the amp sounds without first turning the reverb and other effects off.

Got a Yamaha THR100HD.

In short, it's an absolute beast of an amp. It doesn't sound or feel at all 'digital', and it's up there with the Axe II for amp tones and feel (IMO). The layout is stupidly simple, so tweaking is a breeze. So many tones are available with the 5 preamp types, 5 emulated power amp valve types...

G3 drives sound great with my practice amp!
