I have jumped into the deep end of the Fractal pool

Having had a 1st gen II and III, I was an early adopter. Served as a Nuke Electrician on the USS Los Angeles and did enough electrical maintenance for one lifetime. I started with a Mosvalve 962 stereo MOSFET amp and have never owned a real tube amp ... Thanks to Cliff :)

Thank you @macky I tried this and liked it best as it sounds good and I can use it in front of both the SS and FRFR paths; I use two amp blocks, one for real and another for FRFR cabs. One thing I've noticed is some comb filtering and was wondering how best to address it?

The Speaker Breakup parameter seems to be tied to the Cab Resonance; it is on even at Speaker Drive at 0.00 I would describe it as the attack of the speaker breakup; Soft is muted, Medium is normal and Hard is tight. I like Hard for modern metal tones, Medium for rock, etc. and Soft for blues...

I' with this guy ;) I see that the Global Speaker Impedance Curve is set to DEFAULT. I would assume this means that the Amp block curve is being used. So no effect unless you change it.

I use one for real cabs and two for FRFR. Three and four are send/returns to outboard effects. 61.7% was the highest, and 58% was the lowest I saw; plenty of room for more goodies, 40% more :) As for changing scenes, try the volume knob.

If you pan them, you may not want them in phase. Try 10 ms offset for a fuller sound. 6 ms if you like it tighter.

I've found the ML IRs to be very bassy and loud with Cygnus. I'm with @johnnypig I always seem to comeback to YA and the 5153 is a pretty sweet cab and it's not a V30.

I'm pretty sure this is being updated with Cygnus but see near the bottom of this page in the Amp Block Wiki. Frequency is the X axis and Impedance is the Y. The curves are approximations of certain speaker types. Think of Impedance as AC resistance that changes dynamically as the diaphragm...

I just picked up a Jackson Audio Prism and it is a utility knife guitar pedal for things just like this. I'd check it out, it's pretty amazing and well worth the investment. You can sculpt your clean, rhythm and lead tones that work with your guitar as a pre-stage of gain to hit another pedal...

I think it's mostly string dependent; mass of and the voltage generated by. The 42 on my Tele sounds a lot different to the 84 on my Strandy. How this drives the amp affects the way I set up my presets. Lots of high cut with the Tele and lots of low cut with the Strandy. I get gnarly high...

Yeah, I couldn't marathon through that either, it was spirts for me. Read a little, dabble a little but it was very useful and it helped me identify how to sculpt my tone. I walked through the wiki twice, once through the Band Commander for a clean setup and then the Friedman BE/HBE for dirt.

The FAS models sound great, just went through and built some presets with all 16 of them with their associated Celestion stereo IRs. Edited: I'm using Speaker Drive at .5, Compression around 3, Time Const ~2-3000 and Compliance 50% ... you will comply 50% OF THE TIME :) I like the HAAS effect...

The thing I love the most about this firmware is that I have to turn the Amp block level up. It used to default to ear splitting levels that I always had to turn down. Now, I level them to 0-3 dB and they sound sweet. Bravo! All the amps sound great.

I've noticed that the leveling seems to be much better now with regular IRs, there is way less disparity between real cabs and IRs. I used to struggle with that so much, IRs sounding boxy and distant. You can tell in the video above how punchy they are and only from four 12 inch speakers...

Here's a video from my phone, apologies, showing the righteous Uberschall; with both real cabs and IRs, then just real, then with IRs for wet delay. I'd use headphones because I could only get to a little over 90 dB in the room as it's almost 9 pm here so it sounds a bit thin with awful string...

Read what he said again without adding attitude in your head. Those are the only options available if you preferred an amp version with an error updated/corrected in future firmwares. You allowed him to touch your sides :)
