+1 preferably an Artist edition w/the PPC-210 expansion card so you can have ... gapless preset switching! IIRC this was probably the only consumer-grade product that featured truly flexible routing prior to Fractal. Neat piece of gear for its day.

You are correct sir, pro rather than custom. It's been a minute. That one was RR 1441. I bought a student a few years later, IIRC it was RR 0944. No tragic ex-wife stories here but UPS paid a claim for a very minor crack on 0944 and took it away to sell. EDIT: Here's 1441 circa late 80s...

Couldn't it be done using two amp blocks? That presupposes that this is still true and that turning supply sag to zero still effectively bypasses the power amp sim. If both are still true wouldn't it be possible to set up one amp block as the preamp only followed by whatever one wishes in...

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 8.02 Firmware Release

Oh 42 IS the answer. But it's possible that you might have to commission a custom planet and wait ten million years or so for it to produce the next firmware (just pray that it isn't destroyed to make way for a hyperspace bypass a few minutes before it completes the task).
