Perhaps Cliff could chime in here ... but basically I'm looking for the string separation of Modern with the high end clarity of Long Tube, is this possible through some other settings? I'm hearing a certain "muffledness" in the high register on Modern in comparison to Long Plate.

Thanks for the tips! Like I was saying though, the clip I posted has BASS MUTED. The tone/IR is naturally beefy, it seems. I'm talking about the "recording tips" video as opposed to the album track.

Again, I refuse to believe buying a pedal is NEEDED to get this tone ... The Axe is extremely versatile at this point. If all that pedal does is clean boost and filtering, we already have this, no? Pickups I'll agree with, I'm running EMG Actives which are the furthest thing away from...

06 ms delay trick question

As far as I can hear, the 0.06 "trick" doesn't work inside Cab Lab. It should be added in AFTERWARDS in your Cab Block.

Why Doesn't It Sound The Same?

I personally thought adding 0.06 delay into CAB LAB made it sound like dark muddy shit. You need to add that in the CAB BLOCK on the Axe itself AFTERWARDS. Caps for clarity.

Wow, I'm getting mentions now? :P Unfortunately I think I saved over that patch with something I like a lot better now, but I remember it well. As always, it was a BB Pre 0 drive 10 level, mids boosted by 3-6db at 1400hz into Recto 2 Red Modern with -3 at 250hz in the GEQ page of the amp block...

Are the IRs being sold in the cab packs "neutral" then? The sound you describe seems to be exactly the sound I am not liking ... I haven't actually tried this yet ... with such an extensive IR library, mixing seems daunting. To be honest I can't see me changing this one unless I stumble...

I have indeed updated to the new firmware today but this has been an ongoing issue as far as I can tell ... While Recto 2 Modern Red is selected as my amp the Depth knob seems to be doing nothing, I've tried A/Bing 0 and 10 and there's no different at all, not even nearly what it should be. I...
