    Fremen Q7.02 presets

Thanks. Will give the GEQ a try next time. And yeah Matrix Gt1000FX with a Marshall V30 4x12 cab. I keep the poweramp modelling on, cab sim off

    Fremen Q7.02 presets

That's actually what I've been doing for quite a while now. I still find that the Fletcher Munson effect is prominent though. Presets that are awesome at low volume start losing the "feel" as the volume is increased (to my perception at least, and I use a Vintage 30 cab so it starts to get...

    Fremen Q7.02 presets

Hey buddy, just throwing it out there...Would you consider making preset packs (Axe FX II) for playing live with a matrix poweramp and 4x12 cab? Even "workhorse" presets to grab and go in a live situation? Rock, hard rock, 80's, metal, clean, etc. That kind of thing for gig volume or whatever. I...

    GHOST!

Took me a while to get into these guys. But when I heard a few songs I really liked, I started listening to all their albums. Now I love them. Great guitar tones (live as well) seems like more than just a "classic Marshall tone" Its thicker somehow. And the Bass tone! Probably one of the best...

hey guys, for the last so many years I haven't been playing much. When I occasionally do now I pretty much play direct in the DAW. I don't hang out here a lot anymore. I haven't really been following the updates. I have updated obviously and pick around with presets etc to see how things are...

    Marshall cabs and speakers

I have a 1960BV I've had for years and it's what I'm used to. I just want to add a second cab. Where I live now V30 cabs are hard to come by. I'm looking at the used market. Not much of anything available. Always a few regular 1960 cabs. Actually years ago I had a cab loaded with Eminence...

Cliff, Matt, et. al - A Serious Offer

Thanks Selta, you're a wealth of bass info. I'll give it a try. My problem really is I'm not trying to cop someone's tone specifically, to me it's an old school generic tone. There's just something in the feel and low end punch about those old tones. I just haven't had any success with the axe...

Cliff, Matt, et. al - A Serious Offer

Yes!!!! This is good news. I've spent quite a while researching "other" equipment for a decent bass option. Maybe we're heading in a good positive direction. I'm not primarily a bass player, but I have a huge appreciation for bass and bass tone

    What's out there?

^^^ this seems to be the trend now and for quite some time. I'm the same way. I just can't understand bass with more gain than guitars. It's a sound I just can't get along with. It's surprising how many bass gear demos don't show the basic bass tone. "The meat and potatoes" if you will. I don't...

I've been a pretty serious guitar player and "gear head" for just shy of 30 years. I've always kind of played bass as well. What's out there?

Hey jimfist, what's your experience been with straight up bass compressors in the stomp box format? I've never tried one. I don't think I've ever used a decent compressor on bass. 70's Marshalls?

    70's Marshalls?

are mid-late 70's Marshall amps actually worth anything nowadays? I have an old Marshall 50watt 1987x and lately I've been wondering if it's worth restoring. According to the serial number it was made in 1976.
  33. gearjunkie

What changed from cali leggy to legato 100?

The clean channel on a stock legacy version 1 was a pretty exceptional clean channel for any amp. We have lots of options already I know but that would be a good add at some point if anyone saw any value in it besides me. It's pretty cool you had a certain artists amp for a short while though.

I remember quite a few years back when I bought the first version I got a bunch of different drum maps from the toontrack forums. Im sure I still use a default map for "drum kit from hell". Live tone advice or Preset?

What I'm trying to say is that it's like pedals to me (best way I can describe it) you have boost, overdrive, distortion, and fuzz. I have never liked the character and sound of a fuzz pedal. So in correlation what it seems like to my ears is a good tone with distortion at low volumes seems to...

If I recall you can set them dry and raw with no processing (to sound more real?) in the top right area where it says "original mix" that's a drop down menu to select different things like big room, dry, etc. if you haven't looked at that, give it a try

    Live tone advice or Preset?

I've done the cab resonance thing quite awhile back (I've changed a lot since then tough, updates, resets etc. I don't even remember what it was anymore.) I still find though that the character and feel of the tone changes even when I just increase the level. Maybe it's just my old ears lol

Hey guys since I got my axe fx I've pretty much used it for recording and low volume playing. I haven't really been recording since last year so 90% of the time lately through a matrix GT1000FX and a Marshall 1960BV (Vintage 30's). This is more of the same requests we've seen many times...

I'd be interested as well. The 80's is my favourite guitar era. But yeah price would be the deciding factor. I like the idea of a pack as well. Marshall "Vintage Lead - 1936" 2x12 - what kind is this?

This is a common cab that is available from Marshall. You just don't see them in stores much (same as the 4x12 vintage with V30's) I was actually looking to buy one around 2010 and never did.
