Reeves Gabrels was the first person I know of using a vibrator for it, but EVH is usually the one associated with popularizing the use of battery powered drill for the same effect, though I'm sure others were doing it before him... Any battery powered device with a motor will work, adjustable...

What is "it" that the axe fx is missing?

With the Digitech stuff (at least with the TSR-24) you needed to purchase the add-on daughterboard, which was an additional processor. You could utilize that second processor for added capability (more effects) or you could use it for the "seamless" program changes - you could not have it both...

How much computer do I need?

If you're going to be using for live use I would go for the MacBook. While the difference is minimal any more, a MacBook is going to be slightly more stable and less likely to crash than a PC. I'm a PC guy myself, but if I were to be using a computer live I would invest in a MacBook for that...

Used to AxeFx->real cab; having issues dialing in tones with Cab IRs

There's nothing wrong with using real cabs on stage with the Axe-FX and sending a chain with IRs to FOH. There are plenty of threads here from people that try and try to get used to FRFR and end up going back to using real cabs. FRFR is obviously not for everyone.

The Axe-Fx II WIKI: what do you like / don't like?

I would like to see the cab list in the order that they are listed in the Axe-FX as the default cab listing. Having the list broken down by cab type is cool too, but should probably be on a separate page linked at the top of the "default" cab list page, and perhaps having hyperlinks on each cab...

Acoustic Guitar Recording Mics Vs. Tone Matched Direct Piezzo out/Advice needed

Not that I have any idea what I'm doing, but I wouldn't use just a piezo for recording acoustic guitar. I've had decent results mixing some piezo in with a mic.

Axe-Fx II Firmware 16.03 Released

So does a stereo UR cab use less CPU as two UR cabs? Or is it more of a convenience feature? In other words, is there any benefit to switching my dual UR cab presets to a single stereo UR cab?
