Why not get a used FX8, it will do everything you need, yes discontinued but still a fantastic unit, miles ahead of the HX FX

Was headed towards Strymon but the $$ are adding up

You should be fine using the relays to switch channels, there are other BE-50 users on here doing this. The example you give above would be no problem with the FX8, I do similar with my 3-channel Victory head. You could pretty much replicate your old board if you wanted, 4 FX in front of the amp...

How many patches do you all use?

Rock, pop, blues, funk, soul from 60s to present, I use about 6-7 generic presets based on different amps (Plexi, AC30, Twin, Friedman, Trainwreck etc) with a couple of scenes set up as variations, and possibly up to 10 song-specific patches depending on the set

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 7.00 Firmware Release

I think that resets the amp block - i.e. it sets everything back to default values (gain/bass/mid/treb all at 12 oclock etc) As opposed to 'reloading' the amp (switching to another amp type then back again - which resets the advanced parameters for the new modelling but leaves most settings the same

How to use my practice amp as a monitor

You can put an FX loop before the cab to send your signal to Out 2, and run this into the combo's power amp input. AFAIK the power amp modelling is global, I don't think there is any way to disable it for just Out 2, but I have done this in the past with a valve head and it didn't cause a...

    FLight with Axe fx. Cases.

I flew with mine from UK to Middle East in a 2U rack, it must have been dropped hard because the rack strip had pulled away on one side and the one of the rack ears on the Axe was bent. If I flew again I'd pad the rack case out with foam at the sides and rear so the Axe wouldn't shift if dropped.

From what I can see, if you live outside N. America there doesn't seem any way to get a genuine Fractal T-shirt (or hat, stickers etc) - hence the counterfeiters will be trying to fill that gap. If you expanded into worldwide sales this might help stop the problem?

yeah I agree, being able to rack the G System brain and pedals next to your amp and just run a single CAT5 to the floorboard is a neat idea Thinking about it, the lack of external loops and rack mounting, needing long cable runs between the amp and FX8, means it's maybe not quite the G killer I...
