you have to dive in and turn those knobs. its a deep machine . i use mine mostly direct sounds great but i also have metric halo lio-8 converters. i love that box …. i still have my amps which i also love

Axe Ecstasy vs Real 20th Anniversary?

i have an Ecstasy 101b and used to own the classic and shiva . i feel like the Axe3 is probably 70% there but it could be a combo of sound and feel lacking … I never really cared about it though. The Axefx does its thing and it sounds great. i also love my tube Amps . neither are going anywhere…

Is a power conditioner really necessary with axfx?

what you need is a power regulator. It will protect you from a power surge and brown out which could fry your equipment just as fast.

i understand your pain. Emote has come a long way though along with OS updates. in my opinion using the H9000 with Emote is so much easier than using the H8000 without it. For what i use it for (post processing) you cant beat the H9000..

they pushed the envelope along time ago. The collection of algorithms they have are stunning. Over the years I've owned many of their rack units and they are in a class of their own. Not to mention they have some of the best audio conversion in the business.☮️

Why all the Eventide haters here? I have a h9000 and its an awesome unit for guitar. stellar sound.. I don't know what the algorithms consist of in the H90 but I do know Eventide puts a-lot of effects in one algorithm... I think they made the first digital effects period. I love Eventide...

Fractal Load Box IR ….

I thought the Fractal load box was just made to use amps with a AxeFx only.. I would be surprised if they made one with an IR loader but who knows.. I have an OX box myself to use with my amps....I want to get an X load soon and try it with my AxeFx

the cab is going to remove your high frequency at about 6000hz in most cases, so you really should put it after the cab

I understand the power difference but i keep hearing people say if you’re going to use full Res IR’s you need to get the turbo. The regular mkII can run full res Ir’s? Im usually use one amp delay, reverb, compression per patch so will i still be able to use full Res IR’s??? Thanks

Bricasti m7 reverb vs the axefx3?

Bricasti Is one of the most used modern reverb units in many studios. I used to own one and its stellar... Right now I have an Eventide H9000. I always love Eventide reverb on guitar...fractal is right there also great reverb

I just switched to a real amp into an U.A. OX box. I'm waiting for Bogner ecstasy 3534 so I'm using a Ethos pedal into a Kustom Defender into the OX, H9000 and it sounds crazy good. huge fat tones direct

Tripple Crown....This amp is so open and airy sounding with any cab... Love it there is also a sweet spot on the bass by rolling it back a little which really makes the amp growl. it may also depend on the cab so you have to experiment

I use it... it gives you such a nice sound stage for stereo leads. Just don't go crazy with it. It kind of reminds me of soundstage 3 from cakewalk back in the day.. i wish it had as much control as soundstage 3 did
