If you have more than one guitar, try that first. as far as the house. There is a device you can purchase that you plug into the wall socket, and it will let you know if your ground is missing.

MFC MK1 Power Problem

After quantum 1.0,and MFC-101 3.08 update. I have no power on mfc, when i connect the 7pin midi and wall wart is connected to back of axe-fx, which is what i used to update. I try the 5 pin connection, and i get a time out. The unit works fine as far as all presets, and mfc function.

Thanks for the reply again bwanagary ; It is the Fractal power supply.If you have a multimeter, I'm wondering what yours reads.I am getting 12.9vac output. Now that in turn may not be a problem, the amount of amperage is what's important. It does power up when I plug it directly into the MFC101.

Anybody like the default presets?

I couldn't have said it better. What I will probably do is set up banks of 5 with the first being clean,and the 5th being very dirty, because that's what you'll end up needing for most music anyway.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that after giving up, I noticed the startup of the mfc101 scrolling through the LED's is much slower the before. Don't know if that's a problem or not.

First of all thanks for the response. I tried both ways using bot, I selected all,and then tried individual (A,B,C). You could see the software gathering on the computer screen,but there was nothing happening on the axe or mfc101. I used wallwart with midi connection to the mfc101.

MFC finally arrived and no lights!!! HELP please!

If you had and knew how to use a volt meter, you could test each pin to ground on the axe2,with for example no. 1 pin being the power feed to the MFC101, which should have the highest voltage for powering. The others would be for data transfer. I'm assuming the this is the way the system works...

One FRFR wedge/cab in mono versus two in stereo. Big difference in sound?

So far here's where I'm at, I was able to update to 2.15 using the axe fx2. after I completed the update and reset everything,I went back to dbl chk for v2.15 and yes it is there. I am still the name timeout message.

Yes your right I am able to get to the setup.Will it take an update to get rid of the name timeout? And if so, that was my original problem,getting it to show the connection on the computer. I could see and change the bit,and delay rate in midiox, but it would never show the cable connection...

I just ordered the AxeII&MFC101, and am wondering if either unit comes with the cables needed for operation. If not what are the recomendations for buying.

Best power amp for Axe-Fx II?

What's the recommendation for people who don't playout anymore, but still looking for a good sound without all the power.

Axe's LCD display dims to the point of being unreadable.

It would be nice to know what the power supply output is,that info should be located at the end of the manual. Then I would in the most basic cable mode setup. Then use the most basic mode processor mode setup. This unit powers 2 DSP's a major display unit, all the input output components...
