How can I setup my axefx2 to play through my interface?

Hey guys, I've tried to find a way to plug my axefx into my firestudio for a while and I just can't figure it out. I've tried plugging both the main outs 1 to go in where the mics/instruments are on the firestudio (in front) and there was no sound being transfered. Is this the right way to do...

Which DAW can import ALL setting from different midi files during the same project?

(Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I thought I'd post here since this is the recording section for the axefx2) The title sucks, I know I'm sure we've all run into this problem when recording an album or an EP, where you import your first midi file into the project (for the sake of...

Just did a comparison between 7 high gain amps. Patches, Stems and love FW14.02

I agree that some of the rest do need more clarity in the tone, however lately I've been getting this ear fatiguing feeling from too much pres/treble/highs so I decided to back off a bit on it!

Right. That is exactly what I am doing. I've just tried it I was able to re-amp the left guitar, but when I try to do so on the Right guitar, it does not work. The re-amping doesn't happen. It just records nothing, no sound, but it is recording.

Well this bass tone is from Texas Grind, I've purchased it but I can't use it properly. It doesn't register all of my bass hits and it's pissing me off because the guy won't return my emails. Final Fantasy X - To Zanarkand cover :D (download available)

Alright so the tone is pretty good to begin with, I'd add a bass with more 'grit' that's a big part of my tone actually. My bass tone has alot of gain in is so it is partially responsible for the 'tight' feel in the guitar tone. Other than that, I'd give your guitar tone probably a bit more...

    5150 + Mark IIC+ = Thrashy proggy metal goodness

the tone is really great. Only thing I have to mention is in the mix, the rythm guitars when they palm mute around 1:33 you should add a compressor in the lows because when you palm mute that hard there's this big 'oomph' noise coming from the guitars. Other than that it's great!

Do you record with any Axe effects on or use your DAW?

I use the DAW always, since it will follow the tempo (delay), I haven't added a reverb from my Axe yet while recording, I'm just used to my DAW's effects, but I'm sure a reverb from the axe would'nt change much

Just made the switch from fw9 to fw10.05, too much 'grain' in the gain?

So I've decided to bite the bullet and go with fw10, I've played around a bit with the amps, I play 95% metal with the axefx, every amp sim I've tried, has too much grain in the gain, if that makes any sense. I'm use to the FW9 having a tight gain that doesn't distort my playing. My gain knob is...
