Got the ‘Squeal freeze’ when I changed to a Clon with pedal down & drive on 10! Changed drive to 5, then changed to Clon now with no problems even then putting it back on 10. FW 6 beta 4- Loving the feel and sound-makes me loose track of time playing!

FM3 Firmware Release Version 1.05

Some Drive pedals have a 3% increase in CPU on the AX3! On the FM3 that could come out to maybe 12% or more on a device that I and others have already maxed on many presets! I'm not complaining at all. I'm extremely happy to have a smaller less expensive device with Cliffs magic in it!

Is it just me or does the FM3 sound/respond better when in edit mode(called up parameter in front panel edit). When I exit edit mode(in preset mode), the same preset sound isn't as good and seems to have a slight bit more pick latency. I am using FW 1.04!

The Axe3= yes it can do that! FM3= you can do some of that with a few compromises! The price of the 3 will probably go up after the FM3 comes out and they will likely develop some must have effects/abilities only on the Axe3 after the FM3 sales slow.

I'm trying a friends Hotone Ampero for use at home(Axe3 for gigging) and it is very musical sounding and cheap($375 new/$300 used). If you don't need it's reverb(not up to others level), it could be a cheap alternative.

Loud intermittent noise...

My Axe3 is similar with cheaper/problematic guitar cables that seem to work ok in my cheaper devices. I pull out a more professional guitar cable (that's fairly new) and problem solved. I would guess that the secret sauce II preamp is very sensitive compared to what other brands use.

Help with using AmpliFire 12 expression pedal to control AxeIII parameter

Thanks for the responses! I guess my workaround will have to be long expression pedal cables going back to the AXEIII.

Thats probably it. The AF12 manual seems to indicate yes but not very clear. Sends PC.

I assume so . They are both on MIDI channel 1.

You can assign any CC# on both devices so, I thought I'd try a number not used by anything els.
