Axe-Fx II "Ares" Rev 1.03 Firmware Release

Ares is the best so far but when I installed it the rotary or tremolo seemed to be on almost every patch, I had to use fractool to turn it off in all the patches, but my axe 2 has never sounded so good.

New Bugera FRFR

Just kidding but I did build one.......around 2012 I built my own 4x12 looking cab to use with my axe Ultra and it turned out to sound great and I gigged with it for years heres the post from back then my 4x12 homemade frfr since then I bought EV Elx112p's but the cab still sounded better...

Thoughts on bedroom studio monitors on a budget

I have a set of these and you wont find anything at even twice the price that sounds better Behringer B2031A Active Studio Monitor at zZounds I bought mine used on craigslist for 180 bucks and they are such a good monitor even at the new price.

Who here got rid of ALL of their pedals for Axe-Fx?

I sold all of mine but what is on my pedalboard and one amp (Matchless DC-30) everything else was sold or for sale but kept a backup just in case, I can say I havent touched them since getting the Axe.

First time playing in church with my ultra...WOW!

I used my ultra first at church and like you WOW I tweaked a plexi patch for some Lincoln Brewster stuff and it just rocks, we always record it and the other guitar player who plays when I dont uses a top hat or divided by 13 amp and lots of high end pedals and my tone is always right on.

Budget coaxial active cabs-new contestant

I havent seen the sxm112's but the ts12's are at GC I have a buddy started working there and may have him get some for me at his employee discount. One thing I do like about the ts vs sxm's is the ts has two inputs, I'm a bit wary of the modeling feature on the sxm's Anyone seen the ts112...

so whats the difference in sound coaxial vs 2 way? I noticed the sxm112a's are coaxial and the ts112a's are two way, I mean I do know a two way has the woofer and tweeter seperate and the coaxials have the tweeter connected or suspended over the woofer, I know car speakers the coaxials are cheaper.

I might have to give those a try in fact maybe the passive ts 112's along with my rocktron velocity 300, Just for the heck of it I bought the behringer b212d's and I thought they sounded like crap but after they broke in and setting the bass at 9 oclock and the treble at 1:30 they sound very...

new ultra owner still looking for "THAT" live sound

I 've had my ultra for a month now, I play at church and in another band as well, frankly thru the PA it sounds great, we have QSC FOH and JBL wedges on stage at church and the sound is phenominal , my other band, I have not used the axe fx live yet but have at practices, I have run 2 behringer...

how to turn off cab sim on output 2?

I'm still figuring how to do it, when I try and retrieve the effects loop it says effect not found, do I just move the cab to the end? Guess its time to plug in my midi interface and use the axe edit I downloaded, seems to be hard with the buttons and dial.

I haven't gone in and tried to tweak anything in it yet until tonight, the guy who had it before me really did but he used it with FRFR only, now its time to dive in and do my own stuff. Its a bit overwhelming as I have always been an amp and stomp guy, I know nothing about midi or anything but...

how to turn off cab sim on output 2?

I've had my ultra for about three weeks now and have only used it thru frfr or the pa, now I have a stereo 2x12 cab and power amp and want to turn off the cab sim to it which is connected to output 2, but keep sims to the PA how do you do it? I cant even find the effects loop in the chain

might have found the great cheap stereo 2x12 cab

I am a newbee that got an ultra about a month ago on CL, been getting a new power amp and cab setup to use along with going into the PA, My bandmate has a palomino v32 class A head and an orange 2x12 closed back cab, it sounds awesome, I decided along with PA and my cheap behringer b212d active...

How many of you are actually using the Axe as your main gig rig.

I am now, I have only played at church thru the PA once and tonight with a band I have been dong some shows with, I have ran the axe fx in my studio but never real loud, tonight I just brought some cheap Behringer b212d powered speakers and dialed them in a bit and everyone including myself was...

new ultra owner 4x10's?

Just picked up an ultra 2 weeks ago and WOW this thing rocks, I'm still trying to get a good live setup, tried my behringer b212d fr speakers and sounds OK, thru the board into 12" JBL's sounds great. Seems I get a better sound thru smaller speakers, I was thinking of trying a 4x10 cab for live...
